Even after knowing the song for years, it still makes me jerk and maximize Eve to check why the hell stuff is shooting at stuff. Even though I have sound turned off.

Warp speed is the collapsing of space in front of you and the expansion of space behind you thus its like surfing the wave and as for star gates and jump drives they penetrate space time allowing you to sort of fall through space

I read through some of the comments and it's true. Light Speed is not that fast, and it would still take too long to traverse the universe. I heard a theory one time that if we were to use gravity to pull us through space, we could reach faster speeds then Light Speed.

The guy was saying if you could create a small Black Hole, and somehow isolate it and place, lets say 4 around your ship. Then by altering the gravitational pulls of the Black Holes you could "pull" your ship through space.

Yes! Exactly. It's easier to think of it much akin to a maglev train...or railgun even. However keeping the trainsported item(s) in question stable will be the hard part. One thing at a time, I suppose.

I think it not a matter of speed but life span a 100 light years going at the speed of light will take 100 years unless there is a break throw in faster the light travel but if you make a human have a longer life span and give the human a way to stop the aging proses(like freezing them) you can travel the void of space. In time we will have to move off of earth and take a place in the stars, a moon and or mars base would be the first steps.

@DigitalizedPepsi They are NOT building any base on "one of those". They are still at the probing process. At the moment it would cost too much and take too long to build a base on "one of those". Still if you refer to Mars, you would have to wait until 2018 so that MAYBE they will build a base. 2018 is the year where the earth is the closest to Mars. After that you would have to wait 20 to 30 years before this alignment happens again.

There won't be any kind of true base or colony for decades. I'm amazed the IST is still in orbit with the economic downturn the world is facing. However, in the end, I wish science will live on. We need it to.

Remeber you have a "Warp" space in EVE, so that you can do inter-sytem jups fast, and the Stargates are some sort of Teleport device. This facet of EVE is not realistic, at least in terms of our understanding, but it makes the setting work.

And who knows, this migth be the solution...

Hell yeah this would be a kick ass ship in Eve, or at least the most bad ass looking drone. Deffinetly looks Caldari.

It doesn't look like anything from eve. Caldari ships are all pug fugly with random boxy shapes jutting out from every angle, even the drones look off.

Your mother is a ll pug fugly. Its def either Caldari or gallente, But it looks the most like the caldari drone fighter, which is not boxy at all. I think it looks better than the gallente drone fighter, or the ships from any other races. The gallente ships look like when 3 or 4 soap bubbles stick together, Ammar and Minmatar ships look like flying car parts and vegetables. Caldari are closest to how real spacecraft look.

Yeah, and these look more like jet fighters than real spacecraft. Besides, real spacecraft don't look anything like Caldari ships either. They tend to be thin and spindly with lots of solar arrays and moving parts.

Your thinking of artificial satellites. Just by definition a spaceship can't be thin and spindly.

Spacecraft: A vehicle designed for travel or operation in space beyond the earth's atmosphere or in orbit around the earth.

Vehicle: A means of conveyance or transport.

And our space station isn't thin and spindly, at least not its main body because it houses equipment and personnel.

So take a minute to google up a pic of a real life space craft and then just bow out.

Eh, I'll pass. It does look cool, but it's not distinctive enough for me to call it the best ship in EvE. You could throw it into just about any sci-fi setting and people wouldn't bat an eye.

I would also submit that 24000 years from now, the laws of physics will (presumably) be identical to the way they are now. So spaceships will not look any more like idealistic science fiction ones.

I admit that small Caldari ships (From Frigate to BS)

looks like shit all the way, but when you reach the bigger ships (Capital Sized) , it starts looking better.

Eh, no matter how advanced it gets we're still bound by the laws of the universe. Kinda sucks actually. Unless we're totally wrong about relativity, space travel will never really be possible. Distances too big, ships too slow.

Yeah, but that particular theory is just that: Theoretical. We can throw around maybes but at the rate space travel is evolving and at the rate the Earth's resources are being consumed, I seriously doubt that humanity will ever leave this solar system in it's existence. If we even get that far.

Using single pilot fighters would cause the death of too much soldiers because this type of spaceship is way too light for big combats.

That is why actual fighters are controlled by computers. (drones) It's easily replaceable because drones don't have to be trained and etc...

That's what I think :)

I found this music file by using a program called STUFF extractor, so i could strip the songs from the EVE Online game. To bad there is no way to put them in the EVE Online playlist, then you must use it with your own media player
