You should have staggered your joints on the battens so they dont all fall on the same rafter. probably wont matter on such a small roof though. LOL

Do you mean the 1x horizontal pieces of wood? are they the joints?if so I assume the battens are the slanted vertical 2x6 joists that run from the top of the wall to the apex of the roof... I know how to do this stuff but I usually dont know the technical term for such things... well, back to the riffing

Battens are the horizontal small bits of wood that the tiles are hung onto, the joints are where they are not long enough and two bits of wood are butted up to each other. these joints should be spread to fall on different joists, as i said not really important on such a small roof.
