i was there last night too!! i had floor seats and could see her very well. she is absolutely amazing. standing ovation for her. she is riveting, her voice is like honey, and she looks the part to top it off!! what a beautiful performer... i love rinat...

Ask your school to take your choir class and tag along. My school did and iI went recently to see Ms. Shaham in Carmen at the Queen Elizabeth theatre in Vancouver. It was only $35 and it was in the very first row. It was splendid, she was so good.

This is a poor consolations to the fact that I can't go to the opera to see Ms. Shaham. I'm a student and the tickets are above a hundred dollars at the Vancouver opera. Such a shame!!!!

Carmen was the first professional Opera I was ever in, though only in the chorus because of the staging I was on (singing and not) more than half the principles! Does anyone know where I could find a video for "Hola! Carmen, Hola! Hola!" ??? The finale of act two has to be one of the greatest, ahh "la liberte!" I got to be the gypsy who disarmed Zuniga of his sword while Dancaïro and Remendado restrained him :)
