I'm trying to take off the keyboard-side plastic cover and the metal cover underneath to access the fans so I could clean them.
The first three screws you took off are spin in place but can't be removed at all. Can the covers be removed without removing those three screws? I'm afraid of breaking the plastic cover if I use too much force.
Thanks my friend for your video. Just a question. At 2.40 you start removing 3 screws to remove the metal panel that cover a NEC TOKIN capacitor and the rear side of the GPU. Is that correct? When you assembly this back do you apply any thermal paste betwen the rear side of the GPU and this metal panel?
@machachacka i have got a problem. Dont know if you can help me out. My laptop is an equium a300d 13x and the touch pad gone jumpy and it just stops now and then so i opened the laptopn up to see if overheating was the cause of it being jjumpy but now my screen also gone black. I took all apart and put back together, the screen was working fine until a decided to open it back up. The screen just gone. If you connect an external monitor through vga it works well.
Man, Toshiba def don't make it user friendly to disassemble...they look far more difficult to pull apart than an HP. HP even provide take apart guides now...

@GrHash7 Connect an external microphone to the pink Jack socket. If noises remain, probably it is the Software problem
