they really require you to have all that gear?....do they not know that there are hundreds of parks across the us without requirements for pads that have no legal issues? getting hurt is part of skateboarding, thats just lame.
ha ha i remember in the summer just last year all of my friends and i hoped over the gate to skate here the park was full with skaters with out anything then some kids cut a hole in the gate to make ir easier im sure they fixed that hole though
yea im 14 and i was there today he was like i need ALL the gear i was like crap man really, then i went to models got some gear and was like WHAT! lol
Unfortunately they are required. If you are under 18 I think you might even need wrist guards. However, I have seen the guy that works there lend out pads occasionally, but if you are taking any sort of trip to get here I wouldn't count on it.
is it usualy crowded? cuz chelsea skatepark is unbearably crowded

@chickenuggets63 I've never been there when there were more than three other people. It's deserted. However, the park is closed for the season now.

yha its great i think it one of the best it has 2 large ramps and one mini ramp that i can now drop in o yha cheak out my videos.
