  • I know this is like a common sense question, but do dentists can perform forensic odontology?

  • Really interesting. Wasn't aware that you can pick up so much from a single bite mark. Only problem is i've heard this can wrongfully suspect some people.

  • I think that the comparison of the theeth is fast and univoce, Sometimes the crime scene investigators have just the marks of a bite in the body!

  • Good video. But Bite Mark Identification isn't as accurate as this video portrays. In fact, Bite Mark Identification is quite weak compared to DNA evidence. Quite a few people have been convicted of crimes of which they did not commit due to Bite Mark ID'ing. And who knows how many more have been. This isn't an accurate science. In fact a good bite mark is one that leaves DNA evidence behind, (ie: saliva, blood). And from this DNA evidence is where we should draw our conclusions from.
