The poor quality actually ends up offering an interesting glance into the simplicity of this piece. As long as it's played well, this prelude is so undemanding. It is simply his greatest work ever, and that comes through, even on a terrible recording. Very well done, you're an excellent pianist.
Oh yes, of course it's demanding emotionally, I play this piece romantically with a capital R. I'm merely saying that Chopin's emotion often comes out, even if the pianist's doesn't.
