I don't know if the tabs are wrong. I never follow a tab 100% i use tabs as reference and listen to the original piece. Then i just change the tab to make it sound more like the original piece. This sequence is one of those examples and yes GDAD sounds wrong to me, just do DADG ;)
Mind if I ask a question though? When you get to your first barre chord, the tabs imply that you strum it, yet you and Blitzwater's dad seem to pluck certain strings. What strings do you pluck? I'm trying to learn this version as well.
You don't strum but rather pluck 4 of the strings in the chord. I pluck like this the low E on the 5th fret, the G on the 6th, and the B and high E on the 5th fret, now once you pluck that do G,B and high E on the same frets once more and then just play in sequence D 7th fret, A 7th fret, D 7th fret and finally G 6th fret and then you transition to the next chord down the neck.
