me N' my brother are gonne take a 4 year bull off a ranch in South Park Co this december. I aint never messed with anything but the hide of an animal that large before. I'd really appreciate any advise, tips or suggestions y'all might have. especially on guttin the brute. can't afford to have a pro butcher do it N' I'd rather learn myself anyway. really hope you folks can help me out a bit.
most people are not grateful for the meat they consume and i hate when people throw meat away like its worthless. it cost a creature its life if people were forced to butcher their own animals there would be less consumption
agreed, i will eat them all up at once or just store it in the freezer if i can't finish, farming animal ain't easy, it took careful land management to continuously raise 100 of livestock on a few acre.
Those of us who are meat eaters, it's good to see this process. It doesn't grow in styrofoam wrapped packages. Thanks for sharing this in a way I think most folks could handle watching it. It's not gory, just straight forward.
is it legal to slaughter and butcher on your own farm in america?

No pitbulls, beagles, hound dogs, or retreivers? All the meat is consumed? The brain is good, so is the tounge, and intestines. -TX

Yep, there's nothing better than neighbors getting together for a good bison butchering.

grass fed bison tastes almomst like cow. a little more flavorful. very good, and better nutritionally.
