MrHollistic1 is quite right. Alice Glass is very influenced by Chloe Lum of AIDS wolf. That irritating high pitched screaming is of a intentional noise punk nature. Her real speaking voice is actually fairly low.

And c'mon... how many singers are on the same level as Robert Smith? Not too many, but you could make a similar argument and say that Robert could never in a million years shout as loud as Alice does...
