and iv gone one block but it would need to be takin to a machine shop and bored over one or two of the walls arent in the best shape... and the deck of one side isnt the greatest either... but if your desperate id be up to sellin it...
@6030diesel just found out today my crank has a gouge where the key held the harmonic balancer on so might bore it to a 6.5 mine is already turboed and its a 599 block should be cool ill make videos of the build as well
i did all the work my self so i saved alot of money there. the only costs were parts and the shop time for the magnafluxing to check the heads/blocks for cracks. i also got them to put new camshaft bearings and the oil pressure valves in the block becuase they require a big press. i also got them to hone the block.
they also ground the heads flat with the valves in them.
i also got them to sleeve the valve stems.
total estimate cost 2000$ including buying the 3rd engine and 7th head...
i always wished my suburban was a manual!

yah you can put 6.5 heads on 6.2 blocks

no they are differnt im pretty sure
6.5 is a better engine overall its newer....

@sunfm the late model 599 casting 6.5 and 6.2 block are the exact same block. only difference is the 6.5 is bored out more.
