I was born in 1985 so Micheal J. Fox was one of my favorite actors of all time for that, he was a huge help for me growing up, I really loved Family Ties and Back to the Future, for this and a lot more he will always be a legend for me in the TV and Cinema world

I agree with both sides of this argument.

It feels wrong to take away the unborn child's chance of life, like abortion.

But it might seriously help suffering people.

I'm a Christian, and I believe in the power of prayer.

This is a touchy topic, for good reason.

But fighting about it, won't solve anything.

If you feel bad about the embryos dying think about this...

Think about all of the miscarriages that occur, also think about how there are hundreds, if not thousands of abortions being performed every year regardless of stem cell research being allowed or not.

Think about how all of those stem cells are being thrown in the trash when they could be used to cure diseases.

Banning stem cell research will not stop abortion, it will allow doctors to use medical waste to cure diseases.

Was not trying to argue with you, just giving you a different (and correct) way to think about it.

In the past stem cell research has been used as a vehicle for a pro-life/pro-choice debate, and that is unfair to the practice of such a valuable medical tool.

In my opinion, the mere existence of the Hippocratic Oath pretty much guarantees that doctors will not start proactively killing unborn children to further this research.

He's said he's fortunate in so many ways, including that with his PD he has neither the debilitating depression nor the 'fog' that some endure. So he's blessed to be able to put his considerable intelligence, celebrity and accumulated good will to work as a powerful tool to educate about advancements made, as well as the tantalizing fact that PD is a disease whose cure is within reach in a matter of years (which could lead to cures for a host of other afflictions as well). He's so very inspiring

Medical science has found radically new treatments for P.D so people can live with the disease as they fight it until an even more advanced treatment is found.When Mr.Fox denies himself the drugs he NEEDS to live productively so he advocate more effectively against the US Govt for not doing enough for his cause, it insults the medical advances that have been made as merely paltry and not good enough.In the end he has come out looking like the poster boy of a "why me?" generation. These involve his brain being prodded while he is awake and under only local anasthesia to see which areas of his brain they can destroy to stop the outward "shakes" of PD. My father has Parkinsons. Parkinsons gives him what is called Bradykenesia, which makes it Extremely difficult to move. The drugs he takes have the opposite effect, making him sway and slur his speech. Oftentimes when he has to give a speech or attend a wedding, he takes a lot of medication to be able to get by. Just thought I would clear up some of the ignorance when people claim that Michael J. Fox goes off his medication in these videos.
