@longmarchguy The difference is that dogs acknowledge us and demonstrate loyalty to us even when there is no immediate reward for doing so. They are one of only 2 species that has been shown to recognize, interpret and respond to human facial expressions.
I have no problem eating meat, but I would not eat a loyal companion. Traditions change. The good ones survive and the bad ones die. This tradition should die.
