But honestly, not all games support SLi/Crossfire, so you'd DEFINITELY will be better of with a 4890 by itself.

i am currently using a 750i mobo with an 8800gtx .. planning to get this mobo and 2 5770 s .. they are dx11 and only require 600 watts for crossfire .. i only have a 700 watt psu .. so thats that .. srry to say that i havent switched that pc on in so many days that i have actually forgotten what processor i have on it . i'll get back to you on that one soon ...

Run away from the XFX! now!. XFX make awesome Graphics cards, Both ATI and NVidia. But unfortunately there motherboards, although they look cool, are terrible. They Are well known for using very ceep components and dress them with good looking heatsinks. And then when you inevitably have issues you will have to use there terrible customer support who will just throw you around the departments over and over. If you are set on buying a 750i board id advise looking at the Asus P5N-D ;)

dude alot of people have used that mobo and are satisfied for its performance and it has never let them down.Yeah xfx x58i is a low quality mobo but alot of people in my country use 750i and it has not cost them any problem so far.

Make sure your ram is 1.5v or the system wont post. Once it posts, you can change to a higher voltage in BIOS.

Nah man, it's not a big issue, i have a 2900xt which is pretty much the biggest card in the universe, lol. Just prioritize, what i mean is see the finished product before u start buildin, that way you plug in your sata ports before u slide in ur graphics card.

I bought this board along with a ati sapphire 4870 512mb and I had to use the top slot because the card covered the fckn 4 sata ports dont waste your money imo if those 4 sata's are important in your build.

i got this board , i overclock at the bios and it dont change Mhz, and i did the bios update and the desktop overclocking software dont work :(

Its actually an easy fix, but a pain in the ass. The board requires 1.5v memory. So when you buy memory for this board make sure you buy 1.5v memory. Most OCZ memory is 1.7v. I ran into this problem when I first purchased the board.

Yeah, i know. I had to go to TIgerdirect and buy 2gb Corsair ddr3 1.5v so i could then update the motherboard's bios to the newest which came out a month ago and supports oCZ memory, i'm now running 4gb of OCZ special ops ddr3 1333mhz, and at 9.9.9.27 1333 no problems with the computer on for about 9 hours straight. I was suspicious of all the bad reviews i had read, but it's done me good.

This board is not true dual x16 in crossfire.

it runs x8 and x8 respectively. i bought this board because i thought it did but it doesnt but the only card that this will be an issue with this is the 4870x2 so no worries.

If you're using onboard graphics (ie not a discreet gpu) then it would need to be on the mobo. If you are using a discreet gpu, like ati 4870 or nvidia gtx 280 and the likes, then it would need to be on the video card. You can however get a dvi to hdmi adapter if you only have hdmi's. Hope that helps :)

I read in another review online that the INTEL skull badge that fits on the southbridge heatsink does more harm then good since it interferes with the heatsinks cooling capabilities.
