and scania have more proimenent turbo sound not like merc where backpressure just sufocating the engine

then again all trucks have prominent sounds once you strip the muffler.

scanias have nice idle and low-rpm driving sounds, but they sound like crap when revved.

mercs sound nice when revved, although i must say that truck would've sounded great sans turbo.

all v8 sound like fart on high rev you can search for mack superliner on youtube,merc sound nice only in this video and afterall this aftermarket exhaust arent done by scania nor merc so allot depends on firm who does the conversion

i'm speaking of mercs in general.

i like them because of their silence under normal operations, look, this merc is whisper quiet at idle. sometimes the 'merc scream' is a little noisy, and yes all straight piped v8's do sound like farts. this one's just a bit better
