Too bad the pianist playing this is SO STIFF.(To be fair,I've never heard any classical pianist do justice to this last mvt of Sonata #32---they're too stiff to "make it swing" the way is should.Perhaps a good jazz pianist could do it? LOL.)

Ah sì, e Scarlatti ha inventato il Blues perchè in un paio di sonate usa le blue notes. Non dimentichiamo che Mozart ha inventato la dodecafonia con quella serie dodecafonica nella scena del commendatore del Don Giovanni. Stai scherzando, vero? Riesci a cogliere la differenza tra elementi espressivi ed elementi strutturali nella musica? Fammi sapere, sono preoccupato. ;-)

@MortimerBauer ...tranquillo e sereno... ovviamente scherzavo! E' comunque indubbio che alcuni elementi di questa sonata paiono - e non solo a me - singolarmente moderni.

@AnnaDebussy Grazie per la risposta, stanotte dormirò sonni sereni. Ovvio che scherzassi anche io, spero si sia capito. Questa sonata, dici benissimo, ha elementi di una modernità sconcertante. Se a noi, che abbiamo l'orecchio abituato alle sequenze e ai ritmi del blues e del jazz, questa musica appare moderna, pensa ai contemporanei di Beethoven! Hai fatto impazzire tutto il mondo con questa citazione. Grazie ancora della risposta e buona serata.

Jazz? Ragtime? What else did Beethoven invent? He revolutionized music, trying all rhythm combinations. Even if ragtime hasn't been actually created by Beethoven, his music just sounds prophetic. Too bad this sonata isn't know except for music lovers. Les visionnaires sont toujours trop en avance sur leur temps. Grazie!
