I was born and raised in Bastrop but moved to Fort Worth Texas when I was 13 but I visit my grandparents 3 to 4 times a year in Bastrop, Im proud to be raised next to that stinky mill, and im proud of those officers that put thier life on the line for the people in my home town. Great Tribute!

This was one of the saddest things that has ever happened to bastrop. I used to live down the street form the smith family and if you know austin he was in california when this all happened.

One of the best memorial tributes on the net. It is very humbling. I commend the efforts of these Police Officers. They will never be forgotten. There are disrespectful people posting inappropriate comments on tributes like these. As a Nation, we value life. We have freedom and the power of choice, yet we make bad decisions that will affect families, friends, and communities for years to come based on our own selfish needs. These men lost their lives protecting us from ourselves. Well DONE.
