Turkey's are such adorably sweet, inquisitive animals. All birds are really amazing, and are really taken for granted, just like all farm animals. They are all amazing--it's people like farm sanctuary and the gentle barn that give me hope for the future :)

I just love discussing the ethical reasons for veganism and adamantly mention "Well let's not say I'm an animal lover, my decision didn't come from a love of animals...". There's so many huge reasons for a person to go vegan, but seeing your happy and wonderful animals makes me realize that I am changing their lives as well as that of humans with everyone I discuss veganism with. They are such beautiful beings, and the least we can do is let them live in peace. Thank you for showing us that.

Aw, every time I see ducks, I miss mine! He now lives at Farm Sanctuary in NY, so he has a good home, but I miss my little snuggley baby!

There are several more there, but the video only shows the chickens at the Hospital Hutch. At the Chicken Barn/Turkey Barn, there are many more. From what I remember, there are Silkie and Frizzle Bantams (Silky and Ricardo, respectively), Leghorns, Rhode Islands, at least one Ameraucana (don't remember her name, but I refer to her as the "hawk-looking one"), Barnevelder, Cochin, Catalana, Holland, and Red Star. Great chance I'm missing some breeds, though.
