  • Recording onto tape made bands back then so much tighter and more disciplined. So together. Don't get many bands like that anymore. Sad.

  • its funny seeing hippies play with elvis.

  • That's what drugs'll do to ya.

  • That was great! When the mike dropped that was too funny! Elvis was awesome. Did you notice how the guitar players couldn't take their eyes off him? Elvis even mesmerized the guys. He was definitely one of a kind.

  • @ 1.30 the microphone gives in, to the sheer awesomeness of The King!

  • Where is this video from?

  • How come nobody else gets a towel? They're in there working hard too. Elvis, don't be a mean King.

  • the drummer is seriously kicking ass

  • @sebastianthomson the hard working Ronnie Tutt!!!

  • he looks hiiiiiiigh!

  • @desta148 your mother is better

  • @sherbert500 used the phrase "lol"

  • @sherbert500 Anyone who says that your mom doesn't like someone hanging 10 in her fartbox.....well I have the proof lol

  • es el mas grande de todos los tiempos...... primero yo estaba con fredy mercury despues con john lennon.... pero elvis tiene algo mas

  • The King...Uh, Huh!

  • A real rock version of this tune popularised by Elvis. Great sound, great guitar, drumming and voice. Truly exciting- I don't think, apart from the Elvis original, that this version sounded better.

  • Brilliant - Awesome - Elvis

  • IT'S SOOOO !!!!! FUNNY WHEN THE MIC FALLS & ELVIS KEEPS ON SINGING & LAUGHING !!!!

  • Wow. What talent. Stunning. No single performer is comparable... then, now, or a hundred years from now.

  • scotty was the key

  • Mr. Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup never got proper royalties for this song! Remembering him today: Aug. 5, 1905 - March 28th, 2011. Rockin' in heaven for sure, with Elvis.

  • Ok, is it me? This is in the studio I know, but I can't think of too many around today that have this charisma or presence. I don't want to say god but, again this is only in a studio. You actually feel how much soul this guy had. Ok, mayb going a bit too far ,but damn, it makes you smile and grind at the same time. lol. Rock on big E!

  • i could jerk a few tears. tremendous loss

  • Awesome!

  • love it. 1:33...haha

  • nice side burns bro

  • World will be dead, but Elvis will be live.

  • Elvis-Forever

  • His microphone peterd out... don'cha hate when that happens...?!

  • Just great Elvis forever

  • where can i see more?

  • this is how you do it....

  • Thank you, thank you very much!

  • THE BEST

  • Now thats a BAND!!!

  • nomz

  • Chuck Berry is the true King of Rock N Roll. Elvis was great in his own way but could never hold a stick to the body of work that Chuck Berry wrote and recorded. Chuck was a great composer and great guitar player. Elvis could hardly play guitar and all of his songs were written for him. But Elvis did have the good looks and lots of ca-riz-ma. " Thank you. Thank you very much"

  • @moviemagg Wrong, wrong, and wrong. What r the great songs Chuck B wrote that you are so excited about? Plus he followed EP. It's a lie that EP couldn't play guitar. Johnny Cash describe him as "a fabulous guitar player" "I always hated when bill & scottie came in & covered him up" EP is also the only man determined by top music scholar to be a master of 4 genres & a prestigous honoree of a 5th genre. Induction into a genre hall of fame is based on "mastery&unquestionable excellence" in a genre!

  • Wow, I didn't realise this was the year I was born. I just turned 40.

  • @dragonlady1970 I was born in 1970, too. I always remember my dad playing Elvis 45's on the record player :) I still remember the day he died. We were all down in the basement because there was a tornado warning. They announced it on the radio. My mom looked like she saw a ghost.

  • @vega868 I was in Athens. Wow, a tornado & Elvis sure makes it memorable for you!

  • @blambert19 I agree with you! I take it a step further and say it ought to be "God of Music"!! The man is a music God! If you haven't heard E's rockabilly lately I suggest you listen! It's like dying and going to heaven! When he sings ballads like And I Love You So the beauty of his voice leaves you speechless. I don't even like gospel music but when he sings You'll Never Walk Alone I believe there is nothing on this earth so powerful. More masterpieces...Black Limousine. Such A Night! On and on

  • the real king of rock and roll was CHUCK BERRY elvis was a fag

  • @deathmetaleronofalso Elvis is The King and ALWAYS WILL BE. Berry said "Elvis is the greatest who ever was, is, or ever will be." Strong statement! And happens to be correct! Funny no black artist of the time ever even suggested Berry was the greatest. Little Richard said "Elvis is God-given. There's no other explanation." James Brown said "Elvis and I are the only true American originals" They didn't name one another as the greatest. And anyway, Berry did nothing innovative. That's myth!

  • @TrueLight55

James got that right. They both caused the same kind of reaction. When I saw him we were dancing on the tables. Elvis passed me by but now I am an addict. He was phenomenal. Man, he had it all.

  • vet de kluts kwijt haha wous as a muthafkr

  • Love elvis psychedelic shirt!

  • man that made me smile !

  • @blambert19

    Not the King Of Music,

    hes the King of Kings

he changed the world like nobody before

  • Da Da Da ... Di Di DiDi :)

  • He probably just had his " Bovril " before the session..... ! good stuff

  • Elvis head banging, HELL YEAH

  • "That sonofabitch just gave out didn't it?" LOL

  • Steven Moore was so young back then. :3

  • 1:00 - class! :)

  • Elvis Presley, I take him anyway he comes.

    He is just wonderful.

Too bad, there is no one like him around,

    today.

  • 1:33 ! HAHAHAHA. and at the end he says i guess it gave up!

  • Tank, ELVIS! ELVIS! ELVIS!

  • I'm sorry now, he's a great talent and I know he's famous for them but those sideburns really scare me, they're.... well they're ugggg!!! Sorry! Good song though!!XxXx

  • in return i'd just like to say Elvis had the most badass sideburns of all time

  • They scare me!!

  • Fine as they were, I'd have to disagree. He gets narrowly beaten in the facial-hair-category by Richard Rowndtree in Shaft (1971)

  • i feel like i just got served i have to agree on that one, DEM SOME BADASS SIDEBURNS IF I EVA SAW EM! (terrible slang accent)

  • love it when Elvis says "that sum bitch just gave up didn't it?" LMAO!

  • This is the real Elvis..

  • Priceless! He looks vibrant and, well... Maybe a little jacked up, BUT youth and beauty make up for a lotta messin' when you're young... Then again, he was gone a mere 7 years farther on... The King.

  • He looks like hes jackeddd upp hereee

  • lol jacked up or not, he's still lookin sexy as all get out!

  • The King forever The King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley!!!!!!!

  • The reason Elvis bust the sit of his

pants is because his Hopping on

    his stool while singing!

  • Comment removed

  • Long Live The King!

  • The King!!!

  • 1:32 LOL

    great video :)

  • what kind of shoes are those at :46

and where can i get them, not the exact same ones, but like those

  • thanks for the fantastic video! :]

  • The KING OF ROCK AND ROLL being himself. What a timeless gem!

  • i wish jim morrison wouldve walked into the studio when this camera was on... what a performance that wouldve been... i did hear plant & elvis did sing together though... morrison would be more interesting b/c they are some clear similarities in voice and delivery

  • Elvis was Morrison's fav singer. Both were royalty, the King of R & R and the Lizard King.

By the way, the drummer's awesome.

  • People are such wimps nowadays. I have a drum set and people are like "that's too loud I'm going to lose my hearing." Look at Elvis sitting right in front of the drum set.

  • This is true!

  • he started using his voice differently around this time, less nasal in this song compared to his younger version. I like both ways, but his nasal twang when he was younger was fantastic.

  • Classic "That's the way it is" moment!

  • Elvis´ obvious greatness aside - this band kicks some serious ass. Can´t help but move to the rhytm.

  • The drummer is creating it with the Bass player, both legends.

  • Trying really hard not to make fun of someone POINTING OUT THE FUCKING OBVIOUS.

  • ? You have issues

  • Every single person who sees themselves as an "expert", and is far from it, is an "issue" for me. Oh yeah, and "legendary"?!

  • lol 've been playing Drums, guitar and singing for nearly 20 years and i'm only 35 he he

  • Maybe you should try something else then?

  • So funny to see people in post almost defending Elvis to everyone else (and denying his well known personal problems with drugs, etc.) as if he was watching over them and nodding, who cares just watch and enjoy.

  • elvis was at his peak when he started, before he went commercial

    trust me i was there

  • well that just ain't true sir

elvis was ALWAYS at his peak

  • why did he start to sing so fast in 77?

i mean i love his music but hound dog sounds there live like:

    nothinbutahoundog,aintcriyinallthetime.

  • You try singing same songs for 30 years and see how you like it. Sped it up, improvised - just creativeness for true fans.

  • didn't he stopped touring for 6 years or so?

  • cocaine is a hell of a drug kid

  • yeah come the 68' comeback special jeez, could it get any better

  • More inappropriate comments.

  • The king of rock 'n' roll can't handle some basic rythym guitar? Seriously

  • Thats a stupid comment dmidsies. You band guys (if you are one) all think singers are a joke but unfortunately for people like you, we can always learn to play an instrument but MOST of you instrument geeks could never learn to sing. Learning to sing is 10 times harder than any instrument. It takes a lifetime to perfect it. As they say, your voice is an instrument and Elvis had one of the best in history.

  • so true

  • I have this on DVD, I've watched it loads of times. I love his rehearsals. Cheers!

  • 8 track tapes..my bicycle..tire on a rope..goooood times! :)

  • He is in his prime right now. This was after the '68 Special but before the '73 Special. This is Elvis's best moments. He acts like he's on drugs, but he's really not. He just has that much energy. He loved entertaining people. He had so much fun doing it. This is a great new twist on an old Elvis song. I love it.

    Rest In Peace, Elvis.

  • is that his real sideburns?

  • Yes, those are his real sideburns... I have a pair just like it. 60's sideburns... Can't beat 'em...

  • Yep..sure were! that was the style then.^^

i remember my brother used to wear them when i was little..lol..that was the 70's..

  • RHCPh4x i would love to puddin the face off him

  • Ok... You and about 3 billion other women...

  • Look how wasted he was. Downward spiral.

  • yea he was spent lol

  • He didn't start his "downward spiral" until late '75... That's when he started drugs, and even then, it didn't get bad until about April of '77..

  • Amazing voice and personality!!

    4 ever the KING !!

  • king real king

  • cannonballboy1,,

5 seconds with the king singing is worth watching.

and by the way dumb ass, you spelled WHOLE wrong.

  • Nobody is better then the King!

  • That´s All Right Mama. Great song.

  • don't wish he was right here in our living room?

  • he was amazing! forever in my thoughts elvis

  • Mine too Mr. Pole...forever in my thoughts too. I have no idea why, after all this time...but he's always there.

  • Exstra

  • nice!

  • looks better there

  • i love him!!!

  • Now that is showmanship, charisma and talent in all. Just rehearsing and goofing around without any airpiece or todays electronic gadget most artists have today.

Just simply Rock'n roll at it's best in a studio before anyone did anything.

  • that was cool!

  • and i love how his mic fell off.

  • This man is amazing... AMAZING...
