I really like the tire chains. I haven't noticed any negative effect of the chains on the ATV. I use the diamond pattern chain versus the "H" pattern. I only ride on dirt or gravel (at low speed) so leave the chains on year round. I keep some extra barrel links to connect the chains which sometimes disconnect. I have tried two different brands of chain. One by 'white mountain chain" and the other by another company. Links are below. Both worked well, as would others.
Hey how do you like the tire chains? I have an arctic cat 400 and want to put them on for ice/snow but am concerned that tire chains may tear up the diffs.
my suzuki ozark 250 is 2wd and i skid beech and maple out by my swamp where the groung is real soft and i use tire chains but this video is not very impressive at all seeing its a 700 DIESEL
haha whats funny is my 1981 moto 4 and its only 2 wheel drive with bald tires can pull out a 1500 pound moose with no problem at all and you think this is impressive
that looks like a nifty rig-up. i seen something similar to that @ Northern Tool, but they wanted over $1,000 for it. i decided to cut shorter chunks LOL
I think you could pull bigger, probably respect your machine and don't want to push it which is a good thing because they are made to make our lives easier. This definitely is "Low Impact Loggging".
Oh wow, you got a diesel ATV, nice. Have you seen the attachment one can put on ATV's these days, incredible. I saw a mini backhoe and a grappler. So very cool, just need some property and work is fun
@Reverseflush that backhoe & grapple sounds interesting. any link you can shoot my way? i'm sure it wont be affordable, but I'd still like to see that!.
@dean147100 you must think you're "Paul Bunyan". that massive chunk of log looks to be about 750-lb up to 1,250-lb. take a video of yourself doing it, then i will be impressed.
I can't get this link to load, but copy the following into your navigation bar

I skid logs five times that size out of a massive gorge using nothing but roller skates. With bald tires. And the laces aren't that great either.

You seem very excited about what is happening. Its neither that impressive or that unusal. That atv could do alot more than that.
