  • Never cut tag too close to knot. Sometimes it slips off.

  • just got it .its really strong

  • I religously use this knot since i learned it. I use to use an improved clinch, but I find this knot much stronger and durable.

  • I use this knot. the cool thing is you can put extra hooks above it as well like a few inches above the end hook.

  • one of my favorite knots to use...underrated yet very strong.

  • Its much stronger than the improved clinch. Its my favorite knot to use

  • This is one of the strongest knots in fishing... i have been using it for years... i highly reccomend it. And the best part... Its Easy!

  • your videos are clear and easy.

    thanks.

  • Thank you very much

  • Use this knot all the time. Best knot there is when it comes to ice fishing.

  • Why so fast, repost and slow down!

  • u lose some line when u do this...clinch knot FTW

  • tooooooo fast for beginners bud

  • you fishing shark?????sorry i am italian don't speak english

  • Best knot I have ever used for fishing and so simple too. will not slip. I use it for braided and mono.

  • THE strongest knot there is. And so simple to tie. It's impossible for this knot to slip---all other knots, i.e., Grinner, Clinch, Berkley, etc., have a tendency to slip.

  • slow down mate:)

  • done to fast,.. I couldn't tell what he was doing.

  • one of the most underrated, unknown and usefull knots.

I use it for fly and float fishing on flurocarbon line as light as 1.5lb

One thing i'd recommend though, don't double the line over and push it through the end as this "crimps" the line and weakens it.

I pass it through the end, leave a sufficient loop and do a u-bend back on myself to go through the eye again

  • Excellent tip.

  • @JSSV

Appreciate further clarification; possibly a short video .

I was not able to follow your explanation :

"... I pass it through the end, leave a sufficient loop and do a u-bend back on myself to go through the eye again ..."

  • @wengng5

instead of "forcing" a loop to go through a hole (like at 0:06 in the video)

put the one end of the line through the hole, make a "u", and stick it through the hole again.

The result is the exact same (Thats maybe why you where confused to begin with)

  • @McRoos

OK ... Thks for the clarification. Understand.
