After the battle at monte carlo the french colonial troops raped more than 2000 women in the surrounding villages and killed 900 innoccent men who tried to defend their wife's. The same day 72 italian prisoners of war were brutally executed by an american unit. A few days later 9 german prisoners were shot down by a crazy soldier.
In russia 9000 polish officer's were excecuted at the kathlyn forest in 1940-41. After the war there is estimated that more than 500 000 german soldiers are victims of russian war crimes. But there are some people saying the number was twice as big.
I could keep this list going forever, but my point is that the allies and the russian's who is cheered about as liberators were just as brutal and did the same horrible crimes they accused the germans of doing. Think about that...
@totalwarfreak1 Look mate,i know what you are talking about,i am aware of katin and the dresden bombing and the soviets rushing into germany and doing horrible things,and i can in no way excuse such things since i am against any atrocities against human beings.But you have to consider that NAZIS started this war,nazis exterminated 6 million jews,nazis invaded my country doing horrible things,and i would never care about nazis getting killed by local partizans,in a place conquered by them

This book was one of the best I read in 57 years of my life, if you like the inner workings of music, this book is great, all the feelings and writing about the Italian officer's playing his music is a delight, as is the love theme, the war theme, its a gem of a book.My father publishes it,sobuy 200 copies .Then you can give them as Bar Mitzvah presents or stuff Xmas stockings.
