According to the Biblical genealogies, the earth is about 6k years old. And no, we are not brain damaged. The reason we tell you such things is because you do not believe the Scripture. Scripture (and therefore God) is not your authority, modern science is. Your science is based on a faulty presuppositions that you cannot validate. Repent, and believe the scripture and you will be free the wisdom of the world, which is more foolish than the foolishness of God.

You make the very sad error that most people make: that modern science is based on facts, when it is actually based on a presupposition that also includes the belief that there is no God. I don't concern myself with politics, because I consider the monarchy I'm under more important than this democracy. Heck, America is not even a democracy. God is not just a king over a people, he is creator of EVERYTHING. This is why he deserves the title of King. Americans rejected the idea of unjust laws from corrupt kings. God- being perfect- is neither unjust nor corrupt. The message John is trying to teach is that the beauty and the justice that flows from God is something that should not be hidden in a little church or within a bible, but told to others that they may too be saved. When one knows God's joy and does nothing, that is a waste.
