They totally should change the L2 and R2 buttons... you know, as they are on the GameCube controllers
and the Start button should have a more voluminous shape -- more like the select button. sometimes it's hard to press (at older controllers like these for PS2)
I say they only need to improve on the "2" triggers and maybe some other aspects, like longer handles, like those found on the original dual analog stick with the concave sticks and 3 modes of play.
Sony should not wait until the next PlayStation to improve the controller, Sony definetly needs to improve the PS3 controller. The triggers defiently need to be perfected, the analog sticks need to be perfected, the PS button should have lights like on the 360 and the overall shape and how easy it is to access everything and use multiple buttons at a time and how it fits on any hand needs to be perfected. And on a cosmetic side, where all the logos are and how they look should improve.
They should put a little meat around it like you said but they would be stupid if they change the dpad its the most use in almost every game and the buttons they should leave them also.

The PS3 dualshock 3 controller is GREAT. The only thing I want is better triggers. I have "HAMA RealTriggers" on my PS3 controller, which makes it the BEST controller ever.
btw. I have big hands and the x360 controller isn't that much better... I hate it's battery pack and non sync analog sticks and the d-pad SUCK. The only thing is that's good is that the plastic is a bit thicker which makes it feel more sturdy, but it's A LOT heaver tho, which is bad imo.
The quality they use for the plastic kindle feels cheap and light. When you put the controller in your hand it feels like its going to break at points, aswell as it being skinny as you said. I think that should make it a little bit more meety, make it fit your hands feel correctly, change the l2 triggers because they kindle suck, and as I said use higher grade plastic or a more sturdy material such as maybe what they used on black MacBooks carbon something..... I forgot the name.

well I didn't like how R1 gets pushed in if u use it for only 1 day and its impossible to fix the annoying spring when that happens. they need to make the buttons and spring stronger becuase when they get pushed it is not fun to press them anymore. Long story short you want a 360 controller :P. I hate the PS controller. It was cool back when I was a kid, but as a man that controller is just plain uncomfortable. It's not necessarily too small just not big enough. Too rectangle for me to enjoy playing games with. I've been looking for a 360 designed PS3 controller forever. The placement of the analog sticks on the 360's controller works better for me.

They definitely need to change the curve of the trigger buttons, to an outward curve, slightly increase the space Btwn r1,r2 and l1,l2. Like u said just a lil more thickness around the base, somewhat like the 360, but not as big!!!

I personally think it should remain exactly the same, there is NO problem with it whatsoever. Maybe some slight enhancements, but nothing that disturbs what it is now.
How about a modular controller where you can add different grips to make it thicker just by adding on a new grip.They should also fix the R2 and L2 buttons so that they have more resistance in the trigger so that if you drop your controller there is less chance of breaking your R2 and L2.It would give Xbox people less to bitch and moan about that's for sure...you always hear that from Xbox players "I just can't stand the PS controller" is what I hear the most.Honestly I like the PS3 controller

The ps3 controller needs real concave triggers, the shape buttons is dumb for showing someone but that's minimal.

ps3 controller needs to be changed. I got one and on the seond day, r1 startedgetting all wierd,(the spring wasnt working well, so the r1 was always kind of pushed in) i found it incredibly annoying and no, it wasnt major and instantly noticeable. it was no longer any fun to play online

Long story short you want a 360 controller :P. I hate the PS controller. It was cool back when I was a kid, but as a man that controller is just plain uncomfortable. It's not necessarily too small just not big enough. Too rectangle for me to enjoy playing games with. I've been looking for a 360 designed PS3 controller forever. The placement of the analog sticks on the 360's controller works better for me.

imho they don't need to change anything except the L2 and R2 triggers, they need to revert it back to playstation 2 controller type, those triggers always feel slippy when I try to use them, other than that the controller is perfect.

They definitely need to change the curve of the trigger buttons, to an outward curve, slightly increase the space Btwn r1,r2 and l1,l2. Like u said just a lil more thickness around the base, somewhat like the 360, but not as big!!!

I think the only real problem with the control is it needs to be just a little bigger. Everything else is fine an yeah making them out of metal or some shit would be nice cause I know everyone that plays games has smashed at least 1 control... broken is probably closer to 10 though.

How about a modular controller where you can add different grips to make it thicker just by adding on a new grip.They should also fix the R2 and L2 buttons so that they have more resistance in the trigger so that if you drop your controller there is less chance of breaking your R2 and L2.It would give Xbox people less to bitch and moan about that's for sure...you always hear that from Xbox players "I just can't stand the PS controller" is what I hear the most.Honestly I like the PS3 controller
