  • My brother has Aspergers and this was such a great way for people to understand people with Aspergers

  • OMG..he took my breath away..

  • I like the ending. The character develops...

It would be easy and predictable to have the characters live "happily ever after" but that would completely defeat the point of the movie. Adam changes, for the better...

  • yeah I think hugh needs bigger role in a film..he's extremely talented.

  • I didn't know Hugh Dancy was British. I saw him in another movie called Coach and he plays a normal guy unlike Adam who has Asperger's

  • The people who disliked this are sick. <3

    I love you Hugh Dancy!

    An amazing film(:

  • He is sooo Sheldon

  • Comment removed

  • The character Adam reminds me sooo much Simon from Misfits !!!

    Love you Hugh !!

  • i saw the movie so i love the movie, but i hope Producer will release part 2

  • Hugh needs more recognition, immediately. He's extremely handsome and incredibly talented.

  • I am so in love with Hugh Dancy<3

  • THIS MOVIE WAS SAD. :/

    I didn't like the end.

You're a BITCH, Beth! Well, not the actress. xD She was very good. And Hugh Dancy was very good in that role.

I love when he walks to her house all the way across town and he's standing outside, calling her name when she runs outside. :D It's so cute!

  • @xdeadxsympathyx I agree with you i actually dont understnad the ending too well. Happy or sad?? :/

  • she is so damn funny when she is trying to not make him feel uncomfortable...nooo,no no..:))

  • Hugh Dancy is absolutely gorgeous.

  • this was a really interesting film. i feel for both of their characters. adam doesnt believe in himself which is why beth as much as she would like to take that leap with him, can't. and beth is very caught up in all the ideas of what everyone has told her love was supposed to be and so when adam can just be loving, that's not enough. in the end, adam learns to believe, and beth doesn't exactly walk away...'look how far we've come'...they transformed each others lives.

  • I saw this movie recently and loved it. Hugh Dancy did an amazing job. Amazing talent.

  • I loved Adam in this movie, but Beth kind of drove me crazy. It was like, she was so insensitive towards Adam. So, in a way, I'm kind of happy that they didn't end up together. I would've stayed with him though. I mean, Hello, he's gorgeous!)

  • This is my favorite movie of all times, And Hugh is Handsome. Not only in this movie, but in all of them. I Love Him!

  • I have a friend that has asperger's. Adam reminds me a lot of him, both in the way he looks and acts. A lot of people don't understand him and in my opinion it's their loss. He's a really sweet and interesting person that's just misunderstood by everyone else. I wish people would give him a chance.

  • @Shannixxx Yeah, I know someome who has aspergers, too. A little boy that I babysitt. Whenever he was younger everyone thought he had a speech impediment, but it turns out that its just one of AS symptoms.I wish that people knew him better, too. He is amazingly bright . One day when I was feeding him a snack, he took cheese cubes and arranged them in the shape of a castle. So cool looking! lol Actually wan't to be a child psycologist someday, so being with him is really interesting.

  • ADAM is the best movie i have ever seen

  • See, this is all fine and good until *SPOILERS* beth decides to not go with Adam all because he can't look her in the eye. It's rubbish storytelling, and goes with every Fox Searchlight film it seems where something shitty happens followed by something nice, and the viewer is supposed to believe that this is better off for the character. I thought it was rude and closed-minded for beth to assume that her and Adam couldn't love in the way she presumes everyone should

  • I don't think it was directly because of that. Sometimes there are metaphors in films, things that are representations of a bigger picture , etc

  • Yeah it was, she had pre-conceived notions of what loving someone means. He challenged that, and she still couldn't accept it. If it's a metaphor for anything, it's narrow-minded individuals

  • @Kurt1988 while beth did have preconceived notions of love she understood one thing, if someone can't believe in themselves enough, don't love themselves enough, then they can't really believe in or love anyone else. she needed him to believe in himself, than him just needing her because he couldn't find his way in the dark. she didnt want to be his crutch, she wanted to be someone he loved. and lets face it, what he described wasa crutch, 'what you can do for me?', not love, 'what i do for you'

  • @Kurt1988 damn spoliers! i would have gone with him...

  • this is a really sad movie ut its soo good (:

  • Weird. He doesn't have an accent in the movie at all.

  • @grenadeserenade and so does rose byrne who's an aussie :)

  • lol i was before talk and lookin down when i talked but not anzmore i try to make that i look in the face

  • great movie! BUT UNTIL YOU HAVE DEALT DAY AND DAY OUT WITH AN ASPIES MISUNDERSTANDING.. U WILL SEE THIS IN A WHOLE NEW LIGHT

  • as an aspie, i totally understand

  • @leiapeison agreed since I also hace AS..

  • @OthelloDarrouzet Thanks for the link.

  • I just watched this a few seconds ago. Wow, that was an amazing movie. The way the writer showed his autism was just simply beautiful.

  • i loved this movie so much , its the kinda of movies which i like ..

    Hugh Dancy was amazing <3

  • haha is this a comedy ? i was kinda weeping throughout the movie.

  • It's more like a dramedy..ahah...it's a lovely film..^_^

  • Loved the movie. Awesome acting by Hugh.

  • is the girl from knowing?

  • DVD early next month I think. FINALLY I can see it!

  • Hugh is so handsome! He's so awkward and sweet in this movie, and I love it.

  • Yeah, I have asperger's, we can be a bit quirky. Most of us try to be nice, but it seems like we are talking down to people sometimes.

  • I don't think he was talking down to her in here though because he was telling her how he felt and getting her opinion. If you ask me, I felt like her NT character was an immature brat who happened to be a daddy's girl.

  • @fleisch09 My best friend has aspergers, and I don't think he's ever talked down to me. I actually think people with AS are kind of brilliant.) He( my friend) wants to be an architect, and ever since he was old enough to pick things up has been building things. Its really incredible.)

  • Pls help me and like the web where can i watch the movie i cant watch it at movies.ovemedia. com i dont know why. Thx :D

  • no u need to see the movie it wont m ake any sense with out it

  • IN THE MOVIE HE LOOKS REALLY HOT!!

  • it's happy, but i still cried.

it depends on what you want in the end if you want them to be together or not or what you think

but yeah. i loved this movie

  • was it just me, or did anyone else just absolutely love the ending?

  • YES!

  • i want to see this but i doubt that is going to play in cinemas where i live

  • i wanna see this film soooooo bad i've heard nothing but good things from it and i really wanna see. Hugh Dancy is a magnificent actor. :].

  • Bittersweet, I guess. I think it's more happy.

  • This movie had such a nice ending.
