You have to admit, Ovechkin is more fun than Crosby. He throws big hits, he dances around players like no other, and he scores huge goals. Crosby maybe better technically at hockey, but he just cannot measure up to the showmanship of Ovi. Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong, bring up how many "highlight reel" plays he has, but then go look at his plays, then look at Ovi's plays, and honestly tell me Ovi's are not more impressive. He's good, but he just has no on-ice character

In a way, you are right. Ovi can give a show like no other, and that's why everybody loves him. But when it comes down to playing hockey --> offense, defense, winning face-offs, backcheck, rebounds, vision and overall team spirit, you have to go with Crosby. So the end result is this : If you want a player that will sell you jerseys and get a contract with ESPN, get Ovechkin. If you want a player that will make your team win a cup, get Crosby. Proof ? Pittsburgh won last year :)

In a way? You exactly reiterated what I said. Crosby is much better technically, and will probably score/set up more goals, but he doesnt provide that momentum Ovechkin does. Now that he is captain, he has really stepped up his game though. I would like to see another Crosby-Ovechkin playoff battle, as they are both excellent players.

really? did you really just say the Caps were good when Ovechkin came into the league? are you serious?!? before the 07-08 season they had not won a divison title in 10 years. they never made the playoffs when Ovechkin was their until the 07-08 season.
