  • how did these guys never make it?????????????

  • Thanks for posting :) Lenin and McCarthy still sits proudly on my shelfs, the Hillsborough samples and Answer Back, and while we've come a long way, we've got a long way to go yet.

  • @metaltrotsky Actually thought I was the only person who ever owned Lenin and McCarthy..saw these lads in Wolverhampton way back when

  • @1000YardStare ha, nope still sitting in my entertainment center. Not many people I knew had it back in the day though.

  • gazgalaxy.........I agree we do look like goons

  • Thanks for posting... 25th of May were highly underrated.

I wish I'd bought their album back in the day.

  • After 17 years Kunta Kinte I finally found you!

I recorded this song off the radio (here in Toronto) 17 years ago and never knew who they were. Now I can finally buy the CD. Thanks for Posting.

  • Twas called Dock Rock

  • I'm the partially miming drummer in this video. It was filmed for a Granada TV programme called Celebration I think and also featured Echo and the Bunnymen. The dancer is Paul, a mate of the DJ James Mathias (DJ Jimmy Jazz). Singer Swindelli went on to form Manbreak and it's rumoured that he has also been spotted crooning in the style of Chet Baker in dinner jazz emporiums. A great band that went down well in Northamptonshire and caused a mini riot in Bridlington. When's the comeback!!!

  • Everyone else is doing a comeback so why not?!! :-)

  • Yo Jabba, I'm game if you are.

  • who would believe that nigel cope (on bass) is a forty year old man with two kids and a pink kayak and lives by the beach in new zealand!!!!!!! how times change! crack down!

  • He was shit anyway! Original bass player was much better

  • Shit!!!

    I'm in this video!

I'm the guy in the Shamen t-shirt!!!

  • Any idea whats this is taped off - where it was??

  • Dont know what programme it was but that's the Albert Dock in Liverpool.

  • It's at the Albert Dock in Liverpool.

  • Great to see some 25th of May on here - the band the British music press decided to totally overlook in the 90's - Lenin and McCarthy - a brilliant album - still resonates today!

"Jello Biafra - keep blowing minds!!!"

    Cheers!

  • Probably because of that biff dancing in the background. Bez he aint!
