Thanks for posting :) Lenin and McCarthy still sits proudly on my shelfs, the Hillsborough samples and Answer Back, and while we've come a long way, we've got a long way to go yet.
I'm the partially miming drummer in this video. It was filmed for a Granada TV programme called Celebration I think and also featured Echo and the Bunnymen. The dancer is Paul, a mate of the DJ James Mathias (DJ Jimmy Jazz). Singer Swindelli went on to form Manbreak and it's rumoured that he has also been spotted crooning in the style of Chet Baker in dinner jazz emporiums. A great band that went down well in Northamptonshire and caused a mini riot in Bridlington. When's the comeback!!!
who would believe that nigel cope (on bass) is a forty year old man with two kids and a pink kayak and lives by the beach in new zealand!!!!!!! how times change! crack down!
Great to see some 25th of May on here - the band the British music press decided to totally overlook in the 90's - Lenin and McCarthy - a brilliant album - still resonates today!
how did these guys never make it?????????????
