BEAUTIFUL JET.....!!! And i love the similarity, of these engines spooling up, like it's older sibling the 777. Airbus A-320's do it also, but it's a bit different sounding, at least to me it is.
@raykrislianggi - You are a so wrong. The GE powerplant is the quietest ever. I can have a conversation and actually hear what the person next to me is saying. Try that next to a rolls royce power plant, IMPOSSIBLE !!!
@AF401 a new aircraft from boeing, its 20%more fuel efficient, all kinds of new technology's including reduced pressure, 6000ft instead of the current 8000ft, new LED lighting system recreates sunrise & sunset of destination location ,bespoke seat design with increased headroom & wider aisles, smooth ride technology unique sensors sense turbulence and adjust reducing motion sick by 8X, bigger restrooms, largest ever windows 3x bigger with dimmer, advanced filter system + more humidity and more.
@ SilverService832, the GEnx powerplant sound almost identical to their granddaddy counterparts...the GE90-115B
There's a video clip on GE's Aircraft Engine website with a short 8 to 10 second full throttle run of the GEnx. At that time of testing, that engine had a max thrust of 80,500 lb/st
no that deflects the sunlight from the outside all the tech in this airplane is new about 80-90% of it. the other orange is the lights inside threw the window
it does have the flip down HUDs on it (i dont know if u have to order that seperate or if its on any of theese 2) but yeah its that stuff u see on other planes some jets have it too.
and there are no landing gear problems with this airplane. they dont put the gear in on first flights. The video of it up on jax doing a landing gear swing is normal. they all have to take that test.
There were landing gear problems. It was reported that the gear was angled wrong, but was showed up as being "correct" in the cockpit. Technical bug, nothing big.
oh i thought u were referring to the fact this airplane has been on jax all week threes a couple of vids showing that too. So they probably knew something was up
great, and what a special engine noise. thansk for posting

Sad to hear about the gear problems, but it's already fixed.
Has anyone noticed how the windows on the first two 787's seem to have a red-ish appearance? Is it because of the HUD-features?

no that deflects the sunlight from the outside all the tech in this airplane is new about 80-90% of it. the other orange is the lights inside threw the window

Thanks, I already knew that most of the plane's technology is new.. I just didn't know what attributed to the orange-apperance.

HUD's are standard on this plane. If an operator doesn't want one, they'll have to state it..

and by other jets i mean fighter jets
