Since this song is anti-war and about empathizing with the impact war has on those being caught in the cross-fire (so to speak), does anybody else get the feeling that when she says "zombie" over and over, she intently makes it sound like "z-army" (at least to me)?

It seems to be somewhat of a subliminal message in pointing the finger at the Provisional IRA since they were responsible for many civilian casualties, including the bombings of Warrington England, which took the lives of children.

I wish our leaders (world-wide) would actually listen to the meaning of the words to these types of songs, and draw from them the courage and inspiration to deny those profiteering off orchestrating these wars: It's sad that this is like some drug to drive political leaders and their constituents as well as even rebel armies who can't seem to get enough of the blood money--they need that next fix always.

Anyhow, this is such a timeless classic from one of my all-time favorite bands.

@EternalSage07 The British army had killed 2-3 times more civilians compare to the IRA and as for the bombings in England, that wasn't aimed at killing civilians, out of the 10,000 + bombs that went off under the hands of the IRA, each one the IRA had given the British goverment the "time and place" a bomb would go off, there wouldn't even be an IRA if the British didn't treat the Irish population in the north as 2nd class people in their own country.

I think this song is just so near-and-dear to her that she felt the guy being tossed about through the crowd was being disrespectful. If you'll notice she looks at the same direction as he's coming from (stage right), and after about 1:03 the crowd brings him to the center with the man falling down soon after; could be a coincidence, but maybe the front crowd agreed with her. Funny stuff nonetheless.
