By design, we could technically ship out a ton of iraqi oil, and still see rising prices (unlikely but possible) cause investor demand drives the market. Crude oil is the most volatile commodity, and it's value is determined by so many variables, from shipping route efficiency, to chemical costs and refinement. I don't disagree with what you're saying, but the reasoning isn't right. I work in finance, fyi.
