Obviously it was rejected. It's running software that isn't met to run on the iPad (OS X software) It's not even fully coded for the iPad, so clearly they'd reject it.

If you want to release an app, don't make an exact carbon copy of something else, especially something that Apple did

@TheSHHAS those apps are mostly not apples, devolopers sell them on itunes and apple gets a portion of the money, but if apple added the cydia app, maybe without the feature that allows free stuff, it would rock, cause u could mod the ipod any way u want, and yet, apple steals some ideas such as multi tasking, the ability to change your background, folders and much more...in ios4.1

It was rejected because apple is releasing a dashboard in iOS4 for iPad... I think.

By the way, Apple invented Dashboard and it's widgets in the 80s. It was in all the old Mac OS classic versions up until OS X, and allowed you to launch a calculator, puzzle, control panel, notepad, etc, on top of your current application (a massive feat in those days of singletasking processors and kilobytes of ram). They then reintroduced it as Dashboard in 2005. Windows copied it in 2007 along with hundreds of other direct copies from the best OS in the world. If you can't innovate; emulate.

I don't feel bad for they guy working hard and getting the app rejected. First of all if he had a brain he would know that the App Store DOES NOT allow apps that replicate Apple apps. Second of all who the hell needs this? the beauty of Dashboard on a desktop is instant overlay access, but here you have go close your current app and launch this. May as well launch a full featured app for the thing you wanted instead!
