I have both. Xbox 360 version is better due to the fact that it loads much faster compared to the PS3 version. I get less disconnections and more lag free matches on Xbox 360 and I play with NAT2 on PS3. Still I prefer the PS3 version because of the controller. Both look Amazing though. Graphics is not the competition here.

You know sometimes the lighting can get so outrageous that the characters almost look plastic, I hate that. The toned town brighting on the PS3 is ideal in preventing that action figure look to the graphical characters.

Just look at MGS. The reason why Kojima said it can't work on the 360 is because Sony won the exclusivity bidding. The size? They nearly filled the 50GB blu ray, that's like 6-7 DVD DL. But why did it take that much space? Simply because of no localization and audios are raw and not compressed. What I mean is if they did have localization(mgs4 us, mgs4 eu, mgs4 japan etc...) MGS4 wouldn't be more than 20GB of game which would fit on 2-3 DVD DL.....

As you mentioned, compression technology is the key. The compression ratio for audio files is 11:1 and 4:1, 5:1 for textures files. You save a TON of SPACE with compression. With that kind of compression ratios no wonder Microsoft chose DVD technology for the 360.

On E3 09 he said it's going to look as good if not better than MGS4. This time compression and proper localization would be applied allowing the use of 1-2 DL dvds or a single layer blu ray(25gb)

to clear things up, ps3 has a better frame rate refresh thing than xbox, 360 has better RAM which means it can load large amounts of data faster than the ps3. sure blu ray has more memory storage but most games do not go beyond 5-7 gigs. also just because something has more memory doesnt mean its superior, think of it as a pc, one pc has a 120 gig hard drive with 512 ram, there is another with only 80 gig HDD with 4 gigs of ram..which is better? the 4 gigs of freakin ram.

It's not the disc that's the problem, it's the Cell Processor being harder to code for that's the problem. The 360 has a more powerful GPU and more RAM, but the PS3 has the Cell, which has more potential, but is MUCH harder to code for.

LOL the 360 version trashed the ps3 version at its own game. This game was built on the ps3 arcade hardware, and the 360 port is so much better. The increase in res alone makes it superior. The load times are also superior.

Ok fanboys, both versions have shitty graphics. In fact boys and girls, the game did not even achieve the 720p output according to Eurogamer (1024*576). If you have a HDTV as big as I have (52"), you will noticed how Tekken 6 graphics look like original Xbox/PS2 graphics. I'm not kidding friends ...
