I think the funniest part was when Jack slapped Harris on the head...that was so funny....and look at Jack's face when Karen did her motorcycle line....ha ha ha
Yes, we also CHOOSE to be straight, but our biology tells the truth of what our real orientation actually is...and that's heterosexual. This show was nothing more than a After the Ball propaganda tactic at it's best, and you're all buying it hook, line, and sinker. The truth will make it's way back...it always does
There is more truth in the comedy than not...you can't be "ex-gay" any more than you can be "ex-straight"... You either are or you are not....funny way to point that out, tho........
I have to say : I love the public's reaction when it happens that no one in the "Welcome back home(o)" group is in fact a reborn heterosexual. And it was also really disturbing for me to see Neil Patrick Harris like that (way more disturbing than see him in How I Met Your Mother", actually), but his last line totally relieved me.
@miguelucho20008 God, I totally missed that one ... But, well, Jodie is way hotter than that, and I thought that Kevin Spacey was straight (I know that there were rumours about his sexuality, still).
Karen was on fire in this episode!!! LOL...i mean she was deleivering those lines left and right...but on a serious note this epsiode had a really important saocial commentary abt all of those ex gay groups....half of them didnt change at all except to go back in the closet because they cldnt handle life out here!!!
The etymology of the word sincere is derived from the Latin sine = without, cera = wax. According to this explanation, dishonest sculptors in Rome or Greece would cover flaws in their work with wax to deceive the viewer.
Anyway, the concept has evolved to the point were we used it to as a qualification to refer someone honest.
Anyway, you are right the origin of the word marriage come form the same root of mother and maternity and somehow a heterosexual union was implied. But as i said meaning of words change and marriage now is refer to a lifetime commitment of two persons based of the traditional wedding vows "until death us do apart".
This was really a great show. This episode was probably one of my favorites. In season 2, this show REALLY started to become one of the most insanely entertaining things on television. Jack and Karen in season 2 were GOLD.
Sadly, I read all the comments on this video. I see some people have WAY too much time on their hands! It's a sitcom! If you base your life on what a sitcom says or does then you needs some help. But then if you rant your veiws on something like youtube with people who will rant back I guess you're in good company. I'll say no more but to say that I do believe that marraige should only be between a man and a woman. And I love Will and Grace. I can say that cause I don't take sitcoms serially!
Love should have no BOUNDARIES. Children can very well be happy and fulfilled if raised by same-sex parents.. especially if society continues to shake off those outdated, ignorant beliefs that have stemmed from that certain little book that was WRITTEN BY MAN, and interpreted BY MAN... not God. Hmmm....
Maybe, just maybe... homosexuals exist in this world to be rebounders.. maybe we are meant to adopt unwanted or abused children, or, (forgive me for getting deep here), population control.
I should probably type something meaningful and assertive here, but you're all doing a good job of it on your own. I'll just plant my mind in the gutter for a second and point out that at 1:41, the lamp's shadow looks like a shapely man's be-hind. Okay. Weird comment of the day: check! And you're welcome!
LOL!! I LOVE IT!! "Jennifer Jason Lee these people are freaks!".. CLASSIC!! And so true!!!! Karen is right, it is a waste of time.. Religious fanatical are exhausting and ignorant. Hence see all the hateful comments..all I have to say is how "christ like" ..*gaging* LMAO.. GAY IS GRRREAT!
People are people, gay or straight or bisexual or whatever. Homosexuality shouldn't even be debated, because its normal. Anyone who says its not need their heads looked at.
research shows that gay parents are as good (if not better) as str8. So, lay off the whole which parent is good or bad if you are not one. The only variable that would measure if you're a good parent or not is by asking your child's honest opinion. What makes USA (esp. NYC) so great and prosperous is tolerance, if you lose that then it becomes an ugly place.
I don't care what the fuck people say to me, I love, respect, and support the gays all the way. They are people and they deserve the right to love! Take Ellen DeGeneres for example! She's gorgeous, loving, generous, funny, charming, and very talented. And people hate her just because she's gay! Well, homophobic people can get the fuck out of this world.
I could not agree more LexCooBukaba it's a shame that these groups actually exist and gay people actually think they are doing the right thing by denying who they are, it's just sickining that these kind of places and hateful close minded people exist in this world
It is! These people spend billions of dollars just to stop love when their so called "purpose" is to PROTECT love. WOW, that proves how idiotic people are.
Are you all seriously having this debate underneath a video clip from Will and Grace? There are better, more serious, more heated and fiercely political YouTube videos for you all ta argue underneath.
Dude, lighten up. This is a COMEDY. And Jack is a sweet, hilarious, gay angel. Take it easy. Fire up the argument where it really needs to be heard.
It IS a comedy - but television communicates, and (in most cases now) promotes VALUES - which are important to people; no less important to the values expressed in what you call the 'more heated and fiercely political YouTube videos.'
My goal is NEVER to heat things up (I'm actually a pretty 'lightened up' person), but if 'Will & Grace' is going to attack organizations (before a national audience) that, obviously, they disagree with, then I will respond in kind...
"...many aren't and DO want to change, but don't know how."
Are you serious? Did you see the way they all got up and left when Bill said "So if anyone here has a misguided notion that Welcome back home is some sort of a gay pick up joint then you can just leave right now."?
The whole thing is a parody, good Sir or Miss. And anyone who is skilled in brainwashing can convince a tired or scared gay person that things would be better if they were straight. You're fighting a losing battle.

Of course, it's a parody - a parody based upon the worldview of the writers of that particular show.
Could you EVER imagine the writers of 'Will & Grace' making an entertaining episode that featured a homosexual man successfully becoming a heterosexual through faith in Jesus Christ? The writers would probably be drummed out of Hollywood! That kind of episode wouldn't be tolerated in 'tolerant' tinseltown!
Yet, that kind of story happens every single day...
Oh it was nothing! I feel like eventually we all get what we NEED. I gave you the gift of vulgarity that you so desperately needed THROWN at you(not enough apparently) while you gave me the gift of snap judgement... that I've become so accustomed to seeing time and again from your trogloditic kind. Your welcome! Have a great one!

'Focus on the Family' does have a very successful ministry for homosexuals ("Love Won Out") - the majority of the speakers being former homosexuals. Even homosexuals who are staunch in their beliefs that homosexuality is something that people are born with, come away with respect for the ministry and its motivations - provided they attend a conference. If they haven't attended, all people will ever know about it are parodies such as this one on 'Will & Grace'...and that's sad.
well, just let me ask you one little thing: why are homosexuals considered as something bad and wrong, as people who need ministering to get back on the 'right track'? if god really made every person, then i'm sure he has very good reasons for every single one of them.
and besides, what's the harm anyways? it's not not homosexuality is a crime!
Homosexuality is not 'criminal' nor is it any more 'bad and wrong' than anything I've ever done. Simply stated, homosexuality is not normative (if we were all homosexuals, the human race would be extinct). As evidenced by creation, it's clear - and obvious - than man was made for woman and vice-versa. The 'Love Won Out' ministry is designed for homosexuals who truly want to change. Nobody said it would be easy, but the ministry has been very successful in that regard.
homosexuality is different for differnt people but most of the population has a fixed sexual orientation and is gonna stay that way, these "ex-gays" are:
a) in denial
b) were confused
c) were straight the entire time
on top of that there are numumerous crediable agencies, organizations, administrations, etc. that unanimously agree that true homosexuality is fixed and incapable of being changed
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I find it interesting that you can speak for ex-gays and decide that they were/are one of the three things you highlight. Did you ask them and come to these conclusions?
The simple TRUTH is that the former homosexuals in the 'Love Won Out' ministry were NONE of what you mentioned - and are brave enough to speak out - and love those who desire to change. They are proof positive that it's possible.
Let me see doctors, phycatrists, scientists, experts, etc. all say it's IMpossible, I happen to find it interesting that you can speak on behalf of gay people, i don't want you to speak for me, why do the true homosexual HAVE to change, let me see back then I tried to become and "ex-gay" and it has done nothing for me and i nearly killed myself for being gay, but now i see that it's not a big deal and that it's natural (there is a species of all female lizards so don't argue it's not normative)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You very clearly said that it's impossible - yet there are former homosexuals everywhere; I've simply noted the ones who conduct the 'Love Won Out' ministry. I, of course, NEVER indicated that I 'speak on behalf on gay people.'
The 'doctors, psychiatrists, scientists, experts' you mentioned refuse, I guess, to believe the testimonies of those who have successfully changed...and to NOT argue that's it's not normative is simply denying the truth that human homosexuality can't reproduce.
the elderly can't reproduce, the infertile can't reproduce, and some choose not to reproduce, so the point of being in love is to procreate? and we live in a world of 6 billion so i don't see a need for EVERYONE to procreate. and there are reaserchers that used (thank goodness used to) to work for FOTF that say that it's extremley rare for "reparative therapy" to actually have "straight" people, and if u belive the testimonies so much how about you listen to the ex-ex-gays? (there are alot more)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The point of being in love is to simply be in love.
The point of marriage is to bring forth the best civilized societal structure with which to raise children known to mankind.
I don't know ANYBODY who says homosexuals shouldn't live together, love each other, etc....but once you redefine marriage, ANY other 'marital' arrangement becomes permissible. Why not 3 people? How about 10? maybe 15, throwing in a few relatives into the mix?
If love is the only criteria - seriously: why not?
so gay love isn't cut out for marriage? and marriage IS monagaomus so you can't argue polgamy, relatives have birth defects, and civilized social structure that rasies children? hang on so single parents, nonmarried couples, etc. aren't as good as married couples? there are alot of bad married couples out there and u say marriage is the best parenting tool? uh-uh nope marriage happens to have little if any impact on how people parent, and what about married couples who don't want children?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Every single statistic or barometer in society points out that children do infinitely better in stable, two-parent (man/woman) households. This is not even open to argument, the evidence is so clear. Nobody, of course, is knocking single-parent households; it's merely stating the fact that children have the best chance in life where there is a father and mother in the same household. It's indisputable.

'Gay love' doesn't have anything to do with the discussion on marriage. The term 'gay marriage' is a misnomer. Homosexuals can get married and have done so for years. There isn't a box on a marriage license anywhere where one checks 'homosexual' or 'heterosexual.'
With regards to marriage, the issue is 'same-sex' marriage. Overwhelmingly, in state after state, people don't want marriage redefined to include marrying someone of the same sex - whether you're homosexual, heterosexual, whatever.
hmm homosexuals can get married but they can't do same-sex marriage? and guess what the youth of the country is increasing showing tolerance of the gay community and more open to the idea of gay marriage, belgium, south africa, canada, netherlands, spain and soon norway will all allow gay marriage, and anti-gay attitudes are decreasing, soon in the future gay people will be free to express the greatest commitment of love
hmmm, yes, homosexuals can get married but can't engage in same-sex marriage.
Yes, the youth of the country is being brainwashed by a media onslaught which defines 'tolerance' as meaning 'be tolerant of everything'...a recipe for disaster.
The countries you mentioned are seeing skyrocketing out-of-wedlock birth rates because - as you stated - people aren't getting married (!)...so, who's the mother? who's the father? Better yet, if there's no marriage, WHAT'S a mother/father? Will it matter?
Tell me, kristoffersayshi - are you in favor of redefining marriage to be any group of people who want to marry each other?
When you allow 'same-sex' marriage, common sense dictates then ANY combination (male and/or female) becomes permissible. Do you think it's OK if 3 people get married to each other? 4? 5? Where do you draw the line? Of course, if you DO draw the line somewhere, you are then becoming 'intolerant' and 'discriminating.'
So, I ask you - where would you draw the line? Why?
excuse me but allowing same sex marriage doesn't make it perissable for all variations, and polygamy is not accepted and not allowing polygamy is not discrimination as marriage is defined as being between TWO MONAGAMOUS PEOPLE. geez and polygamy has nothing to do with gay marriage either way give me a stronger more relavant arguement next time
That's the thing - it WILL make it permissible. Polygamists in Utah are already lining up court cases because of the marital redefinition that's going on in California, so it is already having national repercussions.
Of course, you have already redefined marriage saying that's it's between 'two monagamous people' and, apparently, you're willing to discriminate against marriage between more than two people....I guess that will make you just about as 'intolerant' as me, right? (ha!)
one problem gay people are not working with polygamists so you can't really say gay marriage is a steping stone for everything and you are more intolerant than me
me - for gay marriage not polygamy
you - against gays and polygamy
LOL u actually think we're on the same level
*mocking* hey are you for nercophilliacs? no then you discriminate! such a silly agrument discriminations is dislike of a group for what they are (i.e. gay) and i don't know about you but marriage IS commitment between 2
'be tolerant of everything' is NOT what the media and others mean by 'tolerance' in regaurds to this issue. It simply means don't be a close minded jackass
Now these suggestions you are throwing out are completely absurd. Homosexuals asking for the right to marry does not in anyway relate to 10,15 people asking for that right. They simply want to express their love for someone in the same way everyone else does, now I ask what is wrong with 2 people simply expressing their love for one another?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
OK, let's then use YOUR logic...
What is wrong with a father wanting to marry his daughter? They love each other.
What is wrong with me marrying my brother? I really DO love him.
If I'm bisexual, what is wrong with me marrying a woman - AND another man? After all, I'm bisexual...and I DO love both of them!
THIS is why people DON'T want to change the definition. It really doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality. They simply don't want to open up the door to marital confusion...
I AM noting the natural progression when we change the definition of marriage from a single man/woman to mean...whatever anybody wants it to mean.
If the definition is altered, then what's to prevent, say, a bisexual from marrying TWO people - one from each sex? How about polygamy and polyandry?
If you eliminate 'discrimination' of same-sex marriage, how can we justifiably discriminate against any other people combination? Isn't that 'bigotry?'
has very restrictive Homosexual rites is considering Incest if yhe parties agree to sterlization! Also Polygamisyt have been and will continue to push for that. I really have no problem with that if they get it Adult.
Yes, marriage between TWO adults will eliminate polygamy and polyandry...but it's only a matter of time when polygamists will PUSH and PUSH to get their agenda through - just like the homosexual activists are doing.
Of course, if they're resisted, then they'll yell 'bigot!!'hatemonger!,''polygamyphobe! or whatever epithet one chooses....does the pattern sound familiar?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
...and if you don't care - I'm not surprised.
We've both been propagandized to believe that it really doesn't matter if marriage is between male/female, male/male, female/female, multiple partners, regardless of gender...because we don't want to dare 'make a judgment.'
Yet, a society that WORKS is built on a male/female marriage tradition that produces the BEST in children and civilized behavior. Thousands of studies have proven this - and we NEED to make proper judgments for society to work!
Homosexual marriage WILL alter marriage. Just look at what it's done in Europe. Since marriage there 'means anything you want it to mean,' people are simply cohabitating. Children are born to a 'man and a woman' - not a mother and father.
When you redefine the institution, anything is up for grabs...
Homosexual marriage has nothing to do with that but the extra tax burden placed on young couples does. My friend in Berlein says that young married couples pay about 30% more than signals maybe that is the problem?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
True - people HAVE been cohabitating for the last 30 years; in Europe it's skyrocketed.
When marriage is devalued (meaning that it's no big deal - or it's redefined) then people DON'T get married - then, family breakdown.
Did you know that the American black family as late as the 1940's had a birth rate among unmarried couples of about 10% - LESS than that of whites? Sixty years later, that rate is now 70% nationwide, with 90%(!) in large cities.
Marriage has you are defining it has exsisted only for about 150 yrs. before that marriage
was strictly religious with no input from the Gov. Then with the income tax The Gov. decided to record and reconize marriage. since then Marriage has been as much Civil as religious. Homosexuals Want the Civil rights that come only with marriage.
You might be surprised that I largely agree with you; I DO think that homosexuals want the 'rights' and benefits that come with marriage...but I also think they want to be recognized as couples, not just the governmental benefits that come with marriage.
I agree with you that marriage has been 'dumbed down' so much (through the consistent secularization of our society), that many people DO view is as simply a liason for benefits rather than a holy union before God.
We see ourselves as couples what we want is the Civil rights. Civil unions are not the same because the full rights of marriage can not be endowed into civil unions.

You, of course, might be right. You have the mainstream media with you; you have the entertainment industry with you.....but 'regular folks' aren't with you - and neither is common sense.

Love should have no BOUNDARIES. Children can very well be happy and fulfilled if raised by same-sex parents.. especially if society continues to shake off those outdated, ignorant beliefs that have stemmed from that certain little book that was WRITTEN BY MAN, and interpreted BY MAN... not God. Hmmm....
Maybe, just maybe... homosexuals exist in this world to be rebounders.. maybe we are meant to adopt unwanted or abused children, or, (forgive me for getting deep here), population control.

research shows that gay parents are as good (if not better) as str8. So, lay off the whole which parent is good or bad if you are not one. The only variable that would measure if you're a good parent or not is by asking your child's honest opinion. What makes USA (esp. NYC) so great and prosperous is tolerance, if you lose that then it becomes an ugly place.
asianbee21 3 years ago 7
I don't care what the fuck people say to me, I love, respect, and support the gays all the way. They are people and they deserve the right to love! Take Ellen DeGeneres for example! She's gorgeous, loving, generous, funny, charming, and very talented. And people hate her just because she's gay! Well, homophobic people can get the fuck out of this world.

If they haven't attended, all people will ever know about it are parodies such as this one on 'Will & Grace'...and that's sad.
johnlorican 3 years ago
well, just let me ask you one little thing: why are homosexuals considered as something bad and wrong, as people who need ministering to get back on the 'right track'? if god really made every person, then i'm sure he has very good reasons for every single one of them.
and besides, what's the harm anyways? it's not not homosexuality is a crime!
anie1983 3 years ago 7

Homosexuality is not 'criminal' nor is it any more 'bad and wrong' than anything I've ever done. Simply stated, homosexuality is not normative (if we were all homosexuals, the human race would be extinct). As evidenced by creation, it's clear - and obvious - than man was made for woman and vice-versa. The 'Love Won Out' ministry is designed for homosexuals who truly want to change. Nobody said it would be easy, but the ministry has been very successful in that regard.
johnlorican 3 years ago
homosexuality is different for differnt people but most of the population has a fixed sexual orientation and is gonna stay that way, these "ex-gays" are:
a) in denial
b) were confused
c) were straight the entire time
on top of that there are numumerous crediable agencies, organizations, administrations, etc. that unanimously agree that true homosexuality is fixed and incapable of being changed
kristoffersayshi 3 years ago 6

I find it interesting that you can speak for ex-gays and decide that they were/are one of the three things you highlight. Did you ask them and come to these conclusions?
The simple TRUTH is that the former homosexuals in the 'Love Won Out' ministry were NONE of what you mentioned - and are brave enough to speak out - and love those who desire to change. They are proof positive that it's possible.
johnlorican 3 years ago
Let me see doctors, phycatrists, scientists, experts, etc. all say it's IMpossible, I happen to find it interesting that you can speak on behalf of gay people, i don't want you to speak for me, why do the true homosexual HAVE to change, let me see back then I tried to become and "ex-gay" and it has done nothing for me and i nearly killed myself for being gay, but now i see that it's not a big deal and that it's natural (there is a species of all female lizards so don't argue it's not normative)
kristoffersayshi 3 years ago 3
This comment has received too many negative votes show
You very clearly said that it's impossible - yet there are former homosexuals everywhere; I've simply noted the ones who conduct the 'Love Won Out' ministry. I, of course, NEVER indicated that I 'speak on behalf on gay people.'
The 'doctors, psychiatrists, scientists, experts' you mentioned refuse, I guess, to believe the testimonies of those who have successfully changed...and to NOT argue that's it's not normative is simply denying the truth that human homosexuality can't reproduce.
johnlorican 3 years ago
the elderly can't reproduce, the infertile can't reproduce, and some choose not to reproduce, so the point of being in love is to procreate? and we live in a world of 6 billion so i don't see a need for EVERYONE to procreate. and there are reaserchers that used (thank goodness used to) to work for FOTF that say that it's extremley rare for "reparative therapy" to actually have "straight" people, and if u belive the testimonies so much how about you listen to the ex-ex-gays? (there are alot more)

If love is the only criteria - seriously: why not?
johnlorican 3 years ago
so gay love isn't cut out for marriage? and marriage IS monagaomus so you can't argue polgamy, relatives have birth defects, and civilized social structure that rasies children? hang on so single parents, nonmarried couples, etc. aren't as good as married couples? there are alot of bad married couples out there and u say marriage is the best parenting tool? uh-uh nope marriage happens to have little if any impact on how people parent, and what about married couples who don't want children?

Every single statistic or barometer in society points out that children do infinitely better in stable, two-parent (man/woman) households. This is not even open to argument, the evidence is so clear. Nobody, of course, is knocking single-parent households; it's merely stating the fact that children have the best chance in life where there is a father and mother in the same household. It's indisputable.
johnlorican 3 years ago
ur right about one thing - stable, and reaserch has shown two fathers or two mothers are just as good as straight parents that is indisputable

Overwhelmingly, in state after state, people don't want marriage redefined to include marrying someone of the same sex - whether you're homosexual, heterosexual, whatever.
johnlorican 3 years ago
hmm homosexuals can get married but they can't do same-sex marriage? and guess what the youth of the country is increasing showing tolerance of the gay community and more open to the idea of gay marriage, belgium, south africa, canada, netherlands, spain and soon norway will all allow gay marriage, and anti-gay attitudes are decreasing, soon in the future gay people will be free to express the greatest commitment of love
kristoffersayshi 3 years ago

hmmm, yes, homosexuals can get married but can't engage in same-sex marriage.
Will it matter?
johnlorican 3 years ago
1)homosexuals who want to be with the same sex can get married but can't be in same-sex marrige huh that's such a strong arguement
2)i rather be brainwashed to be tolerant of gay people rather than go gay-bashing
3)birth rates out of control? 10 births per 1,000 that's SO out of control, do research next time
4)people aren't getting married in thoose countries? let's see people ARE getting married for one homosexuals are allowed to marry there
5)there are other kinds of familiy besides m/f
kristoffersayshi 3 years ago

Tell me, kristoffersayshi - are you in favor of redefining marriage to be any group of people who want to marry each other?
When you allow 'same-sex' marriage, common sense dictates then ANY combination (male and/or female) becomes permissible. Do you think it's OK if 3 people get married to each other? 4? 5? Where do you draw the line? Of course, if you DO draw the line somewhere, you are then becoming 'intolerant' and 'discriminating.'
So, I ask you - where would you draw the line? Why?
johnlorican 3 years ago
excuse me but allowing same sex marriage doesn't make it perissable for all variations, and polygamy is not accepted and not allowing polygamy is not discrimination as marriage is defined as being between TWO MONAGAMOUS PEOPLE. geez and polygamy has nothing to do with gay marriage either way give me a stronger more relavant arguement next time
kristoffersayshi 3 years ago
That's the thing - it WILL make it permissible. Polygamists in Utah are already lining up court cases because of the marital redefinition that's going on in California, so it is already having national repercussions.
Of course, you have already redefined marriage saying that's it's between 'two monagamous people' and, apparently, you're willing to discriminate against marriage between more than two people....I guess that will make you just about as 'intolerant' as me, right? (ha!)
johnlorican 3 years ago
one problem gay people are not working with polygamists so you can't really say gay marriage is a steping stone for everything and you are more intolerant than me
me - for gay marriage not polygamy
you - against gays and polygamy
LOL u actually think we're on the same level
*mocking* hey are you for nercophilliacs? no then you discriminate! such a silly agrument discriminations is dislike of a group for what they are (i.e. gay) and i don't know about you but marriage IS commitment between 2

WillTurnerGurl318 3 years ago
Now these suggestions you are throwing out are completely absurd. Homosexuals asking for the right to marry does not in anyway relate to 10,15 people asking for that right. They simply want to express their love for someone in the same way everyone else does, now I ask what is wrong with 2 people simply expressing their love for one another?
WillTurnerGurl318 3 years ago

OK, let's then use YOUR logic...
What is wrong with a father wanting to marry his daughter? They love each other.
What is wrong with me marrying my brother? I really DO love him.
If I'm bisexual, what is wrong with me marrying a woman - AND another man? After all, I'm bisexual...and I DO love both of them!
THIS is why people DON'T want to change the definition. It really doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality. They simply don't want to open up the door to marital confusion...
johnlorican 3 years ago
There is no confusion. Two consenting adults
want to get married why does that create confusion?
freezerain 3 years ago
Any 'two consenting adults?'
Can they be biologically related?
If not, why not?
johnlorican 3 years ago
No but your wrong to compare Homosexuality
with Incest. Incest is much more likely to be
Heterosdexual like Pedophiles & Rapist.
freezerain 3 years ago 2
I'm not comparing homosexuality with incest.
Isn't that 'bigotry?'
johnlorican 3 years ago
marriage Between TWO Adults will eliminate
Polygamy &polandry. But France a Country that
has very restrictive Homosexual rites is considering Incest if yhe parties agree to sterlization! Also Polygamisyt have been and will continue to push for that. I really have no problem with that if they get it Adult.
freezerain 3 years ago
Yes, marriage between TWO adults will eliminate polygamy and polyandry...but it's only a matter of time when polygamists will PUSH and PUSH to get their agenda through - just like the homosexual activists are doing.
Of course, if they're resisted, then they'll yell 'bigot!!'hatemonger!,''polygamyphobe! or whatever epithet one chooses....does the pattern sound familiar?
johnlorican 3 years ago
you can not compare the two. But in reality I
don't care about polygamy or polandry if they keep it between consenting adults.
freezerain 3 years ago

...and if you don't care - I'm not surprised.
Thousands of studies have proven this - and we NEED to make proper judgments for society to work!
johnlorican 3 years ago
homosexual marriage will not lead to the end of male /female marriage. Allowing two people who love each other the protection and Rights
that accompany marriage does not damage marriage.

Homosexual marriage WILL alter marriage. Just look at what it's done in Europe. Since marriage there 'means anything you want it to mean,' people are simply cohabitating. Children are born to a 'man and a woman' - not a mother and father.
When you redefine the institution, anything is up for grabs...
johnlorican 3 years ago
People have been cohabitating since the 70's
Homosexual marriage has nothing to do with that but the extra tax burden placed on young couples does. My friend in Berlein says that young married couples pay about 30% more than signals maybe that is the problem?
freezerain 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
True - people HAVE been cohabitating for the last 30 years; in Europe it's skyrocketed.
When marriage breaks down, so does culture.
johnlorican 3 years ago
And Homosexuality has What to Do with that?
Marriage has you are defining it has exsisted only for about 150 yrs. before that marriage
was strictly religious with no input from the Gov. Then with the income tax The Gov. decided to record and reconize marriage. since then Marriage has been as much Civil as religious. Homosexuals Want the Civil rights that come only with marriage.
freezerain 3 years ago
You might be surprised that I largely agree with you; I DO think that homosexuals want the 'rights' and benefits that come with marriage...but I also think they want to be recognized as couples, not just the governmental benefits that come with marriage.
I agree with you that marriage has been 'dumbed down' so much (through the consistent secularization of our society), that many people DO view is as simply a liason for benefits rather than a holy union before God.
....and that's a shame...
johnlorican 3 years ago
We see ourselves as couples what we want is the Civil rights. Civil unions are not the same because the full rights of marriage can not be endowed into civil unions.
freezerain 3 years ago
I really prefer to use a different term but
it won't work because that would still mean that the full rights could be denied.
