  • AWESOME SONG-TRUE WORDS

  • This was a great album. I like this stuff way better than the Boogie Fever era stuff.

  • this beat was sampled in Ghostface Killah's "Be Easy"

  • I think DJ Premier got some drums from here.

  • @MyNameIsNeutron Pete rock is the greatest hip hop producer,he killed this for ghostface!!

  • @holidayp08 - pete is dope but ill take premier any day

  • @TheFreshPeddler pete's baselines are better, and he doesnt use the same drums all the time like preemo does!

  • @holidayp08 - they are both great but premo does more with a sample. more innovative in my imo, more complex imo. we all have our opinions but youll find more people would say premier. doesnt matter though, its all up to the individual.

  • @TheFreshPeddler well,i still say pete rock is more of innovative producer,he made every other producer make better beats, preemo says it in an interveiw! preemo's beats lately have been sounding the same. pete rock is producing the new smif n wesson album, the new camp lo album, raekwon album and styles p as well. he is producing whole albums. i already heard that the smif n wesson album he is doing is amazing.

  • @holidayp08 - petes ill. people sometimes say that about premo , that his beats sound the same but that goes with just about every producer. if it aint broke dont fix it. tho as far as im concerned premo has differentiated his sound from the rest of the pack more than probably any of the other producers one might compare him with. look at a guy like 9th, people go to him for a certain sound, same with premo, pete or any other. its def not unreasonable to say either of those guys are the best

  • wh the lead singer is always the first to go

  • So, anyone know what the lyric is entering the first chorus?

    As in, "A man like me you'll never find . . . . . . . . .so stay away from me"

Whats in the middle - the harmonized part?

  • the middle part is...

"But true love in you I'll never see."

  • why cant they make music like this nowadays?

  • them sylvers girls sure are pretty, i tell ya what.

  • now this is and will alway's b the jam and the slyvers no.1 song for them. i love the old school jams. thank's for posting this. may u edmound r.i.p. 11-02-09.

  • this songs dope, pete rock ur a genius for fliippppin the shit out of this...

  • oh my goodness...haven't heard this in years, back in '72 we played this to death along with Misdeameanor

  • I was just a kid when this song came out. This songs bring back fond memories of the Sylvers. I really like this haunting song. It's too bad that the song is not complete as the ending is so eerily cool.

  • You should redo this one. It cuts off before the song is over :-(
