can you tell me please from which album comes this trac? I have recorded this one on the tape only.... and I'am searching this album almost 20 yeras.....:((
yea that is kurt isnt it? he did used to play w gary burton. I can't really hear him or see his face clearly but the way he holds the instrument is a giveaway
Pat plays an ES175 in this video, not an L5. I think his amp was an Acoustic brand which he played exclusively from the 70s through the 90s. Sorry but I am a gear geek and a Pat disciple.
Love that old Gibson L-5 hollow body, and Pat is just the finest jazz musician out there. Gary's got a nice touch on the vibraphone, too. Thanks for posting this!
Hello does anyone know what guitar amplifier PatMetheny is using here??It looks as though it has (4x10's) and the only amps i know that have that configuration is The Fender Super Reverb & Roland JC-160...other than that it looks as it may have been some sort of SUNN amp or some kind of "LAB Series" amp??My email is (Sonnyfales@gmail) if someone knows and of course i really appreciate your kindness!!!
Ha!!!It's funny seeing all these Cats glued to their Sheet Charts!!!However, i have never heard Schaffers Band sound this good before!!!Maybe they should stick with Charts more often??Ha!!!No just kidding anyway you can definitely Hear & Feel "Toninho Horta's" Music here they're playing as "Bro.Pat" has been largely influenced by this Angel of a humanbeing & Brazillian musician!!!Pat Metheny made me fall in love with Guitar & his brand of Music forever!!!!
Yeah it pretty much has to be rosenwinkel, look at the signature clothing. And this music appears to be waaay out of Mcginnis' genre. So it's very likely. Don't forget Rosenwinkel emerged on the scene around the 1990's
@diederikeggenkamp -Sorry that is Sid McGinnis and the rest of Letterman's band playing backup. I don't think you know much about McGinnis, he can play jazz.
Maybe I'm not following the comment thread, but I'm pretty sure the other guitar player is Sid McGinnis, the house guitarist for Schaffer's band. Kurt Rosenwinkle didn't appear on Reunion.

Saw them perform in Minneapolis soon after this album's release. Remains, 20+ years later, one of the top concerts I've ever attended.
