  • VERY NICE !!!!!!!

  • thats a babby come out to western new york we will show u how its donr

  • @ccwbsacdc We don't have an interest in catching invasive species, thanks for the invite though.

  • good up

  • so hey im gonna be goin up north and fishing the skagit this coming summer when the season opens up, and im really trying to focus on catching some coho. what are some good setups for bank fishing for coho. i also mainly use plunking setups

  • Dude that was a silver sea carp!!!! LOL Nice looking Ho and the way you guys handled it was awesome. I wish I saw more fishermen out there that knew how to handle these fish!!

  • @cordovasanders Thanks. We definitely like to place a strong emphasis on proper fish handling when catching and releasing. Here in BC a pretty large percentage of new anglers are unaware of proper handling so it's up to the more experienced to reduce the learning curve. :) Cheers.

  • Lol the first part I was like "dude dont stand there" I have lost fish before (pinched barbs) and the hook comes flying. Nice fish. Now I just need a camera person.

  • Im guessing this is a sea to sky norther ;)

  • do you need a licence to fish in canada..?

  • @thinleyass Yes you do.

  • When in the year was this? Dates please?

  • @adamlunn09 October/November.

  • location?

  • @skatesesh56 BC Canada.

  • @fishingwithrod where in canada i live there looking for good spots and that looks good.

  • I think you all are wrong. No doubt in my mind that's a small mouth bass. LOL. Nice fish. We have lots of Coho in Sault, Ontario but never seen any that big. Nice Fish.

  • what are yall using?

  • @jagbuya Spoons.

  • why would you let that thing go! i always eat the coho i catch! because i always catch like 15-20 lb salmon

  • @CJPapan Wild coho salmon in Southern British Columbia have to be released by regulations. Coho at that size should be released anyway IMO, they're valuable spawners. We catch enough smaller coho salmon throughout the year for eating.

  • If I was DFO I would patrol Youtube and catch people with poor fish identification skills. Might nab some that bonk the wrong one.

    Nice Ho, btw.

  • coho i'm 200% sure lol. even the way they swim off is different then chinoks. Cohos are alwasy full of energy.

  • whats an average size for coho?

  • @MrXolren 5 to 15lb.

  • Nice one - can't think how I missed it. It was shot a while ago.

  • thats for sure coho

  • good job great fight i caught 1 that was 22 pounds in bc canada river fishing last year and ythats for sure a coho

  • yep thats a chinook its got the little black along its mouth

  • @XXXDarkdizXXX No, it's a coho salmon. Learn how to identify salmon correctly please.

  • Yup Coho

  • Nice coho, that things a monster!

  • @flaminggrecon42 chinook turn black/bronze when they sawn and sometimes red depending on location and ive also caught a coho this size it was around 17-20 lbs

  • thats a coho their jaws form a little different then male chinook and chinook have larger blotchy spots on their backs and whole tails- coho have less spots and spots on the top portion of the tail-coho also have a white lower gum line so please as rod says quit guessing and learn the facts. -brandon

  • yes the differences are there. and yes this is a very big wild silver salmon. pause at 1:55 and study. no large black spots, silvers are spotless. the white gum, kings have black gum lines. and finally the very hooked snout is defined to the character of a male silver. very much a silver salmon, AKA coho.

good gag, calling it a king.

  • thats a Chinook salmon

  • @SuperXmichaelx No. It's a coho salmon. The differences are very distinct and can easily be identified so please learn them rather than guessing.

  • nice coho, you can tell its a Ho, by the blueis green back and kype. nice 20 pounder

  • Beautiful Coho (no black dots on tail or back ). Looks like it only came into the river.

  • Flot laks! :D

  • sorry i have to correct you that is a chinook/king salmon look at some pictures of coho they are red when the are spawning chinook/king are silver with a black back while spawning but thats a nice fish the other day we caught a 32 inch chinook and it weighed 20 pounds.

  • It's a coho salmon.

  • @fishingwithrod Nah it looks more like a king salmon...

  • @ntwvideos No. Learn the differences between the two instead of taking a wild guess please.

  • it's a coho dude, look at the kype

  • i caught one about that size it was about 40 lbs but i think it was coho hybrid

  • umm youre kidding right? there is absolutley no such thing as a hybrid coho. the different species of salmon cannot interbreed.

  • nice fish! I want to catch a salmon in the Yukon next summer. What are you using?

  • Spoons, in the 1/4 and 1/2oz range.

  • Its hard to release fish of that size cuz u wanna keep em but makes sense cuz those fish gotta make babies for us to catch in the future!

  • Great job Nina!

  • I saw a 25-30 pound coho caught yesterday in downtown Stockholm. I've not seen anything like that in a major city before.

  • What you saw was a searun brown trout or an Atlantic salmon, not a coho salmon.

  • Yeah, I think it was an Atlantic salmon now that I look at pictures. I was surprised that a coho would be that big (I grew up on Lake Michigan and never saw any that big).

  • this one was big if i were you i d eat it

  • Had to be released as required.

Releasing large fish is a good practice for preserving the quality of the fish stock.

  • But why did you let it go??? I mean I totally agree except for the fact that they go back to the water injured

  • This is a catch and release fishery.

  • Well I can assure that but dont they go to the water injured?

  • Nope, catch and release done properly such as in this case ensures that the fish swims away uninjured and minimizes mortality. You can do so by using a catch and release net and keep the fish in the water at all time except when taking a photograph for a brief moment.

  • im so deepressed i wish i could catch a fish or even have the time to go fishing

  • wow gratz perfect fish...ty for letting the salmon to live ^_^

  • great fish, gratulations! :)

  • where is that river

  • Southern British Columbia, Canada.

  • So... where are you fishing?

  • Southern British Columbia, Canada.

  • ive been been there

    it is very pretty

  • that's a beautiful river or creek!

  • Nice fish! What a beautiful spot to free float some eggs. Kinda looks like a spot I fish on the Humptulips. Lookin forward to it!

  • nice addition to getting my fishing fix. cabin fever kicked in about 2 weeks ago, all i can think about is summer fishing.

  • so beautiful, shallow water sightfishing basically and a nice slow current
