The biggest factor in Reita's powerful tone is the ESP Cinammon active EQ system that they have on most of they're basses I got his Grassroots version of his bass you can boost or cut the Bass, Treble, and Midrange Frequencies with the Multiple tone knobs I highly recomend any bass that has This EQ system (^o^)

Use a fair amount of gain. Most of the 'gritty' sound is the strings set up the right action. Just remember it's NOT distortion.

@vamosnippon if you mean you want to go as low as the bass of reita, i say buy a 5string bass like i did :p or you can ask the shop if they could change your bass a little so the 4 strings are actually the 4 lowest strings of a 5string (so in standard tuning it would make BEAD instead of EADG) this is what reita has done to his bass to get that low. and it's used in a lot of songs ^^ and drop the highest 3 strings (in this case ADG) 2semitones down and you have the tuning you need ^^

@crs2221993s Gallien-Krueger RB 1001RB-II is his amp. Basson B810B is his cab. He cuses custom ESP basses (ESP RF-00 and RF-00SL)
