  • I am 2 weeks away from having my first. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely experience. I am a homebirth midwife and have caught many babies and now it's my turn to experience a waterbirth. Super excited!

  • im crying like a baby.... beautiful!!!

  • Hi congrats on your new born I wish you the world's happiness and health :) thank you for this post. I wish to ask a question, I am very unexperienced in the world of child birth but I cannot wait to have a child of my own. when your baby was decending down the birth canal (and not this may sound silly) how does the child breathe? It is crucial the child is expelled as quick as possible or am I wrong?

  • @zoki2288 thanks..not a silly question. Im not going to say that you are wrong, u just need a more clear understanding of the process. I will try to answer like a plain old mom not with my midwife mind. Babies are not "breathing" during birth. They are receiving oxygen rich blood through the umbilical cord. In utero they practice breathing and their lungs fill with amniotic fluid. It is the exposure to air which is a dramatic change in temperature that triggers babies to breathe.

  • @keyana67 thank you for explaining this to me I have a much better understanding of the process now =) =)

  • Hearing Sarahn in the background brought me back to my own home birth. What a beautiful video.

  • Im deeply honored that so many people have found some inspiration from my birth. I did it for the millions of women who need to see that our bodies are capable of birthing babies without tons of intervention. I'd like to add that i did birth unassisted, but not unattended. My friend/midwife was present, respectfully in the background and filming. I did insist on no interventions, vaginal exams (i requested one), commands to push, talking, or suctioning the baby.

  • This is very emotionally moving and deeply beautiful. Sacred...sacred. :)

  • Great Job! Inspirational.

  • I loved when u were crying and saying "that's my baby" even before she was out. That was precious! Congrats!

  • @moonlitedance44 thanks. im honored that you were touched by it, not sure if you could hear the part where i say she has a vagina :)

  • Ur great during my hypnobirth at home by the time i was 3cm i was screaming for the epidurial and crying for my mom thou its already my fourth natural birth i was screaming so much that the hypno thingy aint work

  • wonderful vid. I had my son not long before you had your baby. I had a hospital waterbirth w. him up at N. Fulton Regional. This time I'm planning a homebirth. Wish I were as quiet as you LOL

  • Congratulations, I am having a homebirth too, any days now. This video gave me strength. Wish you all the best!

  • How wonderful it is to help your baby in to the world with such grace and love. This is so beautiful and inspiring. Thank you for sharing and giving me and others the courage to share and do is naturally. And thank you for our midwife she is love. I will share with you when I post our baby's birth.

  • BLACK WOMAN IS THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD

  • @9876543211DD BLACK POWER

  • this is very beautiful, very moving. I have had 4 unassisted homebirths and Im very happy to see that others are also choosing this path of sacred bonding. You did an amazing job and are an inspiration to many of us out here. Blessings sister, blessings.

  • @lainatom thank you very much

  • Is this your first child?

  • @DarthWill3 yes its my first

  • @keyana67 I thought so!

  • So beautiful, We're expecting a unassisted homebirth in about 3 weeks and seeing your video gives me such inspiration, Thank You sis for posting. This was such a wonderful birth!

  • blessings! thank you so much for posting this. i'm trying to be somebody's mum myself this time next year, and watching your little girl's birth gives me such confidence that i can do it at home, too! and you're so right: women of color are rather under-represented (at least here on youtube - lol) when it comes to home birth. thanks again for sharing this special moment. and congratulations on a beautiful family. i can tell that little girl will grow up knowing how loved she is.

  • Thank you, thank you for having the courage the medical establishment doesnt want you to know you have.

  • This was sooo beautiful!!! I'm all teary eyed now...we'll be expecting number 7 in a few months and it's the same beautiful experience each time around! Congrat's and blessings to your family!

  • @hebrewbaby wow! number 7? well 7 is a lucky number! god bless! :-)

  • Well done! You're so calm. Were you using Hypnobirthing techniques or anything?

  • dats was amazing u did a awesome job congrats 2 u and da family

  • I'm just as powerfull and I can do this. But thanks for making it look "not so tough" . I just have to breathe, just breathe

  • @inlovewithjj Thanks u r powerful...It really wasn't so tough at all. This was also my first birth

  • Thank you for sharing your beautiful birth.

  • This video was so true, so honest, so profound... I LOVE the fact that there were no interventions here, not even "strange hands." As a doula, nursing student, and former L&D tech, I cannot tell you how many babies are denied their first few moments in the arms of those who love them. Second, as a woman of color, we are so under represented when it comes to publicizing homebirth... I am so honored to have seen this. *also, the gentle female voice in the background (your midwife?) was wonderful!

  • SO beautiful--thank you for sharing this love-filled birth!

  • I am so glad to see his can be done at home with positive results. I just have one question, did you tear inside the birth tub? If not, what do you think helped not tear the perineum? I am 8 months pregnant and I am hoping to have a home birth too.

    Thank you!

  • @arleen3 im glad that it wss encouraging. i did tear just a bit which is why you see blood. my baby was rather large and I probably could have birthed in a position that didn't put so much pressure on my perineum. tearing isn't the end of the world, im happy that i had a skilled midwife to suture me right on up. ive attended many, many homebirths & i have only seen a few tears, most really minor. best wishes on your homebirth

  • @arleen3 Good for you I hope you will film your birht too and share it

  • A beautiful couple and a lovely birth...... So gentle and good patience! thank you so much for sharing! and... yay, no one messing with her at birth, sticking bulb syringes down her throat, etc. Just letting her transition beautifully....

  • @traceyinky thanks i insisted on not having any interventions including suctioning

  • What a beautiful and intimate birthing. I much prefer the regular audio- very sweet. Thanks so much for sharing this!

  • @empoweredbirth thanks i had no idea that people would prefer the original sound. i am deleting the one with the cheesy music
