Im 12 and as hard to believe it is I pull 70 pounds. I lift weights and am super strong. I cant even believe I can pull that much. I love bows and shooting them. Execpt for when you shoot in the wind and break or bend arrows. That is horrible.

@PierceManse dude can you really do that? i'm not trying to be mean i'm saying if you could that would be incredible! but i must say that 12 is too young to lift weights cuz it messes up your growth plates, unless you don't care about your height lol...but i have a question, is it really hard for you to pull back the 70 pound pull weight or is it a good fit for you?

@kyctsproductions My brother will be 14 in a month, does not work out whatsoever and he can pull my 65 pound bow. It took him a couple days of fiddling around with it but he is now able to pull it all by himself. Just did it tonight in fact. I was really impressed.

pulling a compound bow back aint hard. im borrowing one from the club im at and its set at 40ilbs. would be higher but thats the max it can go. and its piss to pull back

Which is more fun? Recurve or Compound. I'm thinking of getting into archery but can't decide which way to go

i'd advise you to go to archery range(you'll have to learn proper technique before you can shoot on your own, or if you start on your own you might develop some bad habits)

so when youre on the range, try some compound and recurves and see

but the real fun is with selfbows, here no sight or arrow rest helps you, its just pure skill

but for beginners i think compound and recurve, as you get better you may wanna try longbow
