  • THE DISNEY SONG

THE SONG OF GOOD CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

AND MOST RECOGNISIABLE SONG OF ALL TIME

  • Brings back old memories, wow, I love this song.

  • I made a wish on a shooting star, my wish came true. I still have it. nothing will take it away. I'll keep fighting for it.

  • I cry every time

  • GERINA DOVE IS AN OLD ASS TROLL

  • i love this song ^-^ every time i hear it it makes me feel all warm inside and always brings a smile to my face no matter how down i feel :) <3

  • Ah, Cliff "Ukulele Ike" Edwards-the man with the smile in his voice. No one else could ever sing this like you did.

  • Walt Disney we wanna thank you for the wonderful creatures you made! Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck...Goofy!! Even your dead our dreams will never die and Walt Disney will always be in our heart:')

  • Walt disney we wanna thank you for the wonderfull creatures you made! Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck...Goofy!! Even your dead our dreams will never die and Walt Disney will always be in our heart:')

  • This song reminds me of Christmas because in Sweden they show From All Of Us To All Of You on Christmas and in the end they sing this. :)

  • nice pics...thanks for the video...

  • Whenever i feel blue and out of tune, all i do is play this song and look at the moon. Walt Disney will never be forgotten, for within our dreams and memories carries his love and imagination. :')

  • I <3 this song:p

  • Whenever i hear this song, it has the same effect on me as the song 'someday my prince will come' had on the dwarfs. It makes my heart soar and flutter, as if i'm made of helium. I wish the one i love would come to me again - whenever i see him my stomach flips, my heart flutters and my head screams out "OMG IT'S OLLY! I LOVE HIM!" I know it's real love cuz the other boys i thought i loved didn't have the same effect. But I'll have to wait till winter for a star bright enough to wish on, though.

  • @SonicRules151 you write with very nice imagery. Keep up your writing skills and promise you will sign your first novel for me.

  • @JDL9615 Thank you. I am thinking of becoming a writer, actually. I promise i will!

    P.S. Wanna B friends?

  • @SonicRules151 yes, we can be friends.

  • わお

  • Ahh....the time when Disney was true magic, not that bullshit it is today!

  • This version always makes me cry. I don't even know why.

  • Kind of sounds creepy

  • I love the original!!! Not those immitations!!

  • Well i'm a nice person and for your information I go to a specialized high school in new york brooklyn I go to brooklyn tech hs okay and I do good in school and it was the right time because it was my comment so you really didn't have to say anything okay

  • @T5778UVN Your very first comment showed you can be a nice person, it was touching and very personal. I wanted you to see the "context" you used was more distracting than it was effective.

Another lesson: if you want to communicate with people and share your feelings and ideas, don't respond to different ideas from yours with name calling and insults. You will make more friends and fewer enemies just by staying on message.

  • Stupid ass u neva heard of slang i'm 15 dats how I tlk I write wen i'm not in skool or doin sumthing dat matters so u can suck a dick bitch

  • i c wat u mean n I know what slang is.

How much more effort is it to spell "thiz" with an "s" or "mi" with an "e"? Also, "good" and "gud" when spoken sound completely different? The other stuff I could live with. You certainly took no shortcuts writing "suck a dick bitch." Remember this, COMMUNICATION is using the appropriate language or writing in its proper place and time. It's a sign of intelligence that separates humans from animals

n im sure ur rly a nice prson wen u want 2 be.

  • Thiz song makes mi feel gud makes u want 2 cry it aslo brings gud memory

  • - - ever hear of spell check?

  • even as an atheist i feel the presence of something eternal and divine when i hear this song...

  • reminds me of pinocchio :')

  • I'll always love this song <3

  • it scared me in the beggining so i didnt listen to it!

  • @VieMaBelle Baby.

  • @TheComenterMan ?????

  • The Best.

  • I LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF THE 2001 REFERENCE

  • Actually, the opening line are from 2010: The Year We Make Contact

  • @JDL9615 Well, it's what Dave Bowman says when he peers into the Monolith in orbit around Jupiter (or Saturn, depending on whether you're reading the book or watching the movie) in 2001. It IS in 2010. I actually can't remember if it's in 2001 or not, even though it happens then.

  • @EMABrad it never appeared in the movie but did appear in arthur c clarkes novel 2001: a space oddyessy (?)

  • @thetallguyo9 All right, thanks. I haven't seen the movie in several years, but I know he says it in the book.

  • I'M GOING TO A DISNEY RESORT THIS SUMMER IN VERO BEACH I'M SO EXCITED

  • DOWNLOAD THIS SONG NOW AT: SHARINGODCOM

    Gil from Israel

  • Beautiful video. Enchanting, love Disney!!!

  • Oh, it's lovely... but if stops a liiiiiittle too early.

If you could prolong the song for just a few seconds, that would be perfect. :-)

Thank you for the lovely treat.

  • SUPERB!!!!!!!!! Loved the Hubble pictures too : D

  • I wish Walt was still alive. Disney would still kick ass in that case.

  • I wish Walt was still alive. Disney would still kick ass in that case.

  • How can 4 people dislike this song

Have they not wished upon a star?

  • I love all disney. love it!!! Toy Story 3 is my favourite as i have seen it on the opening day and then again 4 days after, i love it. But i love the good old disney aswel.

  • 4 people missed the like button

  • I want to cry when I hear this song. I don't know why but they song makes me feel sad.

  • @20408040105 that's because Disney is SO bad now. We all miss the classic Disney.

  • not my favorite version of the song but he hit them high notes all right!

  • Im a Toy Story Disney is that an old Disney?

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139

The song is a Classic Disney!

  • Comment removed

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139

Original Toy Story came out in 1995. It's old for our generation but not that old. Original Pinocchio came out in 1940.

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 i am only 23 and i know this song. who hasnt seen pinocchio

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 i would say anything after Aladdin or the first lion king is new disney, but thats just my completely personal opinion.

  • @cannabisawesomis new disney was when toy story came out.

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 Hell no!!

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 Classic as in... Asrisca Cats. Dalmatians, I think you can get into Beauty and the Beast ... Cinderella, Fox and the Hound...stuff like that

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 That's more Disney Pixart which is very different to just plain Walt Disney nowadays. Pixart makes great films.

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 Before Disney went bad.

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 it's from pinochio

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 Ah... yeah. You might say that. It's from the movie, Pinocchio, released in 1940. The song now far transcends Pinnochio. It is the theme song for Disney itself. If you go to one of the theme parks you'll here it a few times.

IMO, they made a wise decision to chose, "When You Wish Upon a Star," from the many great ones they had to chose from, as the Walt Disney Theme.

It's a work of genius - in two minutes.

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 No its not. Pixar can go to hell compared to the real animated Disney.

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 ... no but bless you anyway, my daughter is sixteen and cried her eyes out at toy story 3, she still has her Buzz and Woody from the original movie... sweet xx

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 May be not in Toy Story, but in Pinnochio...

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 May be not in Toy Story, but in Pinnochio...

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 It's actually Disney's official theme, first heard in Pinocchio, and btw, Disney will never be old ;)

  • @TaylorSwiftFan139 Uh.... Disney started in the 1920's. Toy Story was made in the early 2000s/late90s... So no

  • @Blu923the2nd No need for attitude it was a simple question :)

  • the new disney sucks the old disney kick ass

  • @408man53 agreed.

  • real pictures??

  • Yes they are real, go to the NASA site and look for Astronomy Picture of the Day (Multimedia)

  • i..I FORGOT HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS SONG WASSS. im like crying right now..

  • This is the song that inspired Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys) to write "Surfer girl". BTW Wilson has announced he will be cutting an album full of Disney-songs next year. Could be awesome

  • I was watching the fireworks display on TV last 4th of july... they played this song, and they had the credits. All the song had who it was performed by. I cannot believe they did not credit Cliff Edwards. it was just a blank spot. It's stupid Poor Cliff isn't remembered.

  • Cliff Edwards is popularly known as Uklelel Ike. I've never been able to get thru this song without tears. The song is gorgeous and the singing is beyond beautiful. Put all that into that beloved Cricket. You talk about a perfect match - this is it. The song won the Academy award that year with Jiminy singing it projected on a screen. None compared to that.

  • Jiminy Cricket is, hands down, my all time favorite inspirational cartoon insect!

  • I loved that song from the first.

Several years back, an edition of the annual book SONGWRITERS' MARKET (a marketing resource for songwriters) featured the sheet music for "When You Wish upon a Star" in full on their inside front cover.

  • This is wonderful! Thanks!

  • Oh, georgous. I love the birth and death of stars. That is truly "going with a bang". Cruel beauty. (though it's only gas.) (except in narnia kofkofahem)
