@mickeymousedied The Verizon iPhone doesn't work on T-Mobile's network. You need the Apple iPhone. Any Apple iPhone will work on the T-Mobile network. It needs to be unlocked though. I have an unlocked iPhone 3GS and it works with T-Mobile. The only thing I have not gotten to work is MMS. Everything else works.

@x8888888x Answer NO, T-mobile internet plan not required. You can use it without a data plan. I have the AT&T iPhone 3G which sells for $49.00 plus a data plan. I bought it from a friend for $50.00 It has been jailbroken and unlocked (by me) to use T-mobile (my service) and I use my WiFi Wireless internet. I had to add the T-mobile APN settings to send and receive MMS messages. You cannot just plug your T-mobile sim into the iPhone unless it is Jailbroken and Unlocked. Use free wifi wherever.

If your phone is jailbroken you should have cydia installed. Open cydia and search for Ultrasnow. Download and restart phone, then try your T-Mobile Sim. Good Luck.
