@Daikaijuconan Well, this show did have it's fair share of adult themes. Just look up the video "Manly Yatterman is manly". Japan doesn't think sexual content like that is inapropriate for children.
ANime in the 70's, 80's and 90's was so much better than all that modern CG crap that they produce these days...Hand painted cells had a magic and quality that's completely lost with the cheap and fast CG colored cells, hand animated mecha is a dying art...
You guys name me one modern anime series that has quality hand animated mecha like you see in Macross, Gundam or Venus Senki...You can't, because modern anime like that don't exist.
@mitrooper nothing wrong with moving with technology. the quality is far better and it's less hassle on the artist, so there's litterally no reason for an artist to spend more time making something that doesn't look as good.
@ax3ninja i humbly disagree, as a long time anime fan i think that older hand drawn stuff looks way better than the computer garbage. who cares if it takes longer, the good things come to those that wait. computer animation looks cheap and turns me off. sure the colors look better, but not even in a good way. for me at least. the guy you replied too has all the right mind, anime should revert to the old school animation styles.

I regret not being a weaboo when I first saw it, I wasn't interested at first but now that TvsC is out... but now it'll get all mainstream I'm sure...and since this is classic anime it'd inversely not look weaboo-esque at all...
Yeah I definitly like the newer one for its animation style and such but I like the old one for it's general aura so unique to the time and the series.
I too have grown to love this char through TVC (and saving up Doronjo post explosion videos a few years back)....I would love to see this with English subs now-but where? Demonoid, Mininova, nothing turns anything up-has it not been subbed yet?

Only 3 eps were subbed. The translation group then stopped because the translator had no time to deal with it. Only thing we can count on is:
a) Another translation group takes over
or
b) A small fanbase will form due to Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, therfore getting an anime publisher to get the rights in order to release the anime here.
