Y&R 1984: Patty and Jack Divorce

Patty had a straight clear mind back then but thanks to Victor, she's so screwed up now. Victor had her face altered and had her go after Jack causing her to go psycho. Paul accused Victor of altering Patty but as always, Victor denied having anything to do with what happened to Patty but Paul knows Victor did it. Unfortunately, since Paul has no evidence linking DIRECTLY to Victor, he can't sue or press charges against Victor. Victor ALWAYS covers his tracks too well and NEVER gets caught.

Wow..Patty actually seems like a real person here..as opposed to the new episodes where the show has turned into DOOL - no believable storylines and no likeable characters! ATWT is the last watchable US soap and will be gone soon..

@charliegirl824 What was sad was they did not play it right. I would of had the original Patty bump into Victor and Jack. They would both look twice and go "nah". Or at least had her bump into Paul. What was the point on bring the actress and not having any fun.

yes very true Days Tom and Alice were together til the end. And so was AMC Joe and Ruth Martin(til retirement) and some people leave town together(which is really the only way couples survive on these shows) There's even be a few couples who never cheated, but there's a very scarce amount on each show.

I wish they would have Jack and Patty remember the time they were married, showing flashbacks of their wedding, marriage and how Patty looked 25 years ago, but they can't because Jack was not played by Peter Bergman back then. They usually can't show flashbacks of a character's moment when the character wasn't played by the same person then.

Also Patty must have had the exact same size breasts and her other Anatomy "down there" if u know what I mean?When a person has any surgeries there are scars no matter how thin esp on the face and ears. I say all this because Story lines that are plausible shoul dbe the main stay to keep things believable. The Y&R is the best serial on daytime which is why I am watching it again. But the offspring of all th emain charaters are too confusing with victors's kids etc. Im still trying to catch up.

Also the storylines about women who are surrogate mothers for family or friends, only to go back on their agreement and keep the kids. This Lily and Cane storyline will be in that situation very soon. You can tell when they listened to the heart beat and U can see the surrogate emotions changeand you just KNOW she will back out of the deal. These writers are talented so why not create believable storylines.Give viewers something fresh. the Kids family lineage is confusing esp. Victor/ashley's

Mary Williams was the Epitome of a Mother in law. She was a busy body and through the guilt around & was a busy-body. She through out the guilt and advice like Bath water. A sh*t stirrer. Did Mary's husband die or leave her? I'm glad she isnt on the show anymore. I just started up again watching the Y&R a couple weeks ago. The new actress who plays Patty Williams/Dr.Peterson really is too thin & old looking. Also I'm tired of the evil twin storylines, the tricked pregnancies are tiresome.

yeah I don't miss Mary Williams at all anymore either. She just vanished. It was revealed years ago that Carl Williams was still alive and had no recollection of her and rather than stay behind and get to know the family all over again, he went back to where he was living with his current with Ruth. Yeah IMPO Stacy Haiduk is not a very beautiful actress. I really don't know how old she is. Possibly early 40's. But she looks awful...
