  • This is *SO* cool! Anyone find a resemblence between this and the Detroit Cobras? I never noticed the similarities before but wow! Really interesting.

  • @xxlesslikeitsmathxx The Detroit Cobras only do covers though..so yeah they have covered songs from this same era and genre. I love the Detroit Cobras, but they've got nothing on the Quatro Sisters!! THIS is why the DC's exist! RAWK!!

  • A song that never gets old is hard to find!

  • melody and guitar part straight up ripped from the rolling stones' "little by little" off their first album. has no one ever realized this?

  • This is my new anthem. Thank you!! thank you!!! thank you!!!!!!!

  • Check out a second tune on Youtube.....from Quatro sisters earliest groups...."Ted" by Cradle.

  • why are there only two songs of theirs on youtube):

  • @CaitlinH12345

The Quatro sisters are releasing their early music this year. Out now is Cradle "the history" CD (the group that The Pleasure Seekers morphed into) on CD Baby, and major outlets. In Fall 2010 this Cradle CD will be followed by The Pleasure Seekers "What a Way to Die" CD....both CD's are live, raw, original, and evocative of the era the Quatros played in with never before released material on both. Full info can be found at official website: quatrorock

  • @Quatrorock yeah, I saw that on facebook(:

    good stuff haha

    thanks for that

  • i ♥ this sonnnngggggg yeaaaaah

  • Thank you so much for this! I found about them from Shindig Magazine of all things :)

They seem like such GREAT Detroit band!

  • man does anyone have the chords to this song?

  • @peppermintwardrobe i'm self taught, so I don't know any chords, but the song is super easy. Three chords total in the whole thing. E for the first part of the verse, then A, then back to E and then 2nd fret on your A string down to the A again. Good luck translating my note illiteracy!

  • @MrNellonoma if you dont know any chords just go on google and type in "guitar chord chart" and learn some :) its easy to understand they just show dots where you put your fingers.. peace

  • @TheThroney i know how to play guitar...i don't know chord names off the top of my head. poorly worded on my part.

  • @MrNellonoma its all good, sorry. take care

  • The original Donnas!

  • bliiiiiinding, garage rock to the max!!

  • suzi fuckn great

  • that is fuckin' awesome!!!!! love the screams!!!!!

  • love this ! ! ! ! ! !

  • the tune reminds me of "leave my kitten alone" by the beatles.

  • Original is from Little Willie John!

  • Such a great side I almost wish I grew up in Detroit...then again, I did grow up in NYC, but we sort of missed this one...groovy post...thanks

  • Baby come on over, come on over to my side well I may not live past twenty-one but WOO! what a way to die! Your lovin' fluctuates baby and everybody knows but the temperature always stays the same on an ice cold bottle of Stroh's When I start my drinking my baby throws a fit So I just blitz him outta my mind with seventeen bottles of Schlitz
  • there's one missing verse right?

  • Perfect!

  • this is really incredible¡¡¡¡¡

sexy rocker Suzi Quatro and her sisters, these are the first steps from Suzi in the pop music¡¡

Suzi and her sisters were in Vietnam, singing for the boys, Nancy Sinatra was there too¡¡¡

  • I saw the PS's In Mt Peasant, MI opening for the MC5 in 1970. I remember the review in the local paper the next day said the PS' a were great but the MC5 were too loud and too vulgar.

  • Precisely why the MC5 were brilliant. That must have been an amazing show...

  • One of the best records ever made - true classic!

  • @Herb79 here, here

  • One of the great early girl group singles of the garage genre, virtually unknown outside of Detroit area.

  • cool, i never knew she was in another band.. so was this after or before she went solo? probly after right

  • damn. early talent

  • yeah!!! old skool Detroit garage at its finest right here...

  • Glad i found some old stuff by this band.Great early suzi n the girls.

  • awesome!!! there is this band called the smears that did a record of all old garage rock songs..they did this one, its great to hear the original

  • This is so DAMN good to discover! In this 21st century era of shopping hall, clothes buying, make up zombies.

  • No Rock n roll like fucking Detroit rock n roll!

  • finger licking good~~

  • fucking awesome!!

  • brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yep-thats suzi singin-queen of punk-glam-rock and the original riot girl. where would music be without her? thanks for postin

  • So was Suzi Quatro singing in this song as well as playing the bass? I'm guessing she was but I don't like to be presumptious.

  • I love this song, not knowing who it was by. Can't believe it's on YouTube. Good shout.

    :-)

  • Just Read the book Suzi Quatro Unzipped and had to have a look on youtube for songs from the pleasure seekers, thanks for posting

  • This is good stuff!

  • love it

  • Suzie is the Queen of punk garage.

  • Suzi Quatro is the best. I wish she would come to NYC

  • wow, this is great, but i like even better the B-side: Never Thought You'd Leave Me. A classic on my turntable. Just gotta love girl garage bands.

  • Thank you for playing this forgotten tune! This band was one of the first all-female rock bands that I knew existed, and was a model for the next famous all-girl rock band, the Runaways (Joan Jett, Lita Ford, et al.)

My favorite song by the Pleasure Seekers is "Light of Love", which I hadn't heard in years until I got married (it came with the wife, of course!) - but the 45's in bad shape and won't play well.

  • Hey I remember listening to light of love...maybe I still have it somewhere. I will make sure you know if I post it :)
