McDonalds burgers don't decompose in certain environments because they're dehydrated. Absolutely every other burger ever conceived by man would behave exactly the same way in the same environment. If you look at the ingredients of the McDonalds burger, there's nothing unusual in it.
They're made out of exactly the same thing as everyone else's hamburger, beef. The ingredients are freely available to the public, and there is no great mystery behind why a dehydrated burger would not decompose, a process that requires moisture. This is chemistry 101. It's just a shame so few people in the media are so scientifically illiterate.
