You can see in my profile, I'm from Hungary... central Europe. And I made this video many years ago, after few days I bought this little drum... so it's absolutely not a traditional style.
@parsuram1: I don't think it could be played "totally wrong", it's not the traditional style i know and i don't say it is if you had read comments, you wouldn't note this...
thanks i order one but it is not 3.7 inch i actually custom order a 6 inch dayan and 7 inch bayan the bayan goes up to 6.5 to 8 inch i rather to get the bigger bayan and dayan so you have more playing surface i will make a video so you can see it and thanks for you help
Nice. I have the same madal but you play it differently and certainly better than I do. Are you using pakhawaj techniques or something? I've tried to get different tones out of the treble side but I can't really do it...
Same like a tabla or pakhawaj, just pull the rings on the strings to the deep side, or put some little wood stick under the strings... and use a little hammer to fine tune directly on the rims;)
can u post some tutorials??

This drum is from Nepal, I think it's used mostly as a ceremonial drum and it's called Madal. There are tons of them on Ebay for around 20-30 bucks.
