jeez, these pilots sound soooo sick. had i not seen the video or title i would've said the car was a ferrari just based on the sheer sound of that 244hp monster.
@cXcon7 No, there's a VSA Off button to the left of the steering wheel. The triangle with an ! in it is the VSA light which either means it's off or it's detected a problem
Why is it almost every video I see of the Pilot 0-60, there's a hazard/engine light of some kind on.. WTF is that about?? I just ordered a 2011 for $37,000.. better not be a piece of shit....
Love the sound of these engines! Have an 06 stock. Can't beat these vehicles for size/versatility/power and efficiency. Got 26 mpg on my last highway trip.
i raced this one with my 01 Maxima Auto and i have Injen Intake with Exhaust and this fucker took off faster and I only caught up to him after 80 lol!
hey man I drive an 05 pilot do you have any upgrades on this I love merging on the highway and going 40 to 80 runs. I think my vtec kicks in at 4500-4800 but it sounds good. I also got a 15 inch sub in the back and dvd player
its an ex-l and i made a custom air intake. its about 7.3 seconds in this video because i had a full tank of 87 octane and about 60lbs of crap in the back. with a little less then a 1/4 tank of 93 and nothing in the truck ive done 6.7 sec which i think is the fastest 0-60 ever in a pilot with out nitrous
a friend did 0-60 in 5.9 with a 75 shot
i am going to post up a track run with a 125 shot soon
@dansdashizzle522 yoo man can u tell me wut,s that little sign on ur speed guage that has a triangle with a caution sign in it could please tell me ehat does that do in my honda pilot exl it has that little VSA button once u press it it comes on but the wut the hell is vsa
I have an 05 V6 manual accord coupe as well as an 03 pilot, and yet I can face reality as to how fast they really are. BTW, Car and driver tested the 2002 mpv es @ 9.4 seconds to 60. Get your facts straight and learn proper english.
Yea your right because the 2002 doesent have as big an engine as the 2003 and not as good gear ratios dude and the accord is nice but my 2003 is much faster than the 02
Common Knowledge states that a 200hp v6 isn't gonna move almost 4000lbs to 60 in 6.3 seconds. If the pilot has 50 more hp, 50 more lb/ft of torque and barely anymore weight plus a more efficient transmission, and it only does mid/high 7's, then there is absolutely no chance that an MPV can do it that quickly. Sorry.
Engine sounds a little like a Murcielago :D

@21centurylife23 It's the traction control (VSA) turned off for the video because its slower with it on

@AFunyun --aaah, makes sense.. didn't think about that. lol

As the owner of an MDX, this definitely doesn't sound stock (unless the sound is recorded weirdly)

march9312 2 years ago
haha, do u think a 2004 pilot is faster than a 2009 crv?
razrvin 2 years ago
yes, the cr-v is only a 4 cyclinder

humm, yeah i would think. why?
march9312 2 years ago
Doesn't the CR-V share the same engine as the Civic? I am pretty sure the CR-V slower than the Pilot.
ScorpioFuror 2 years ago
oh it does? i didn't know that haha. yea i think the crv is definitely slower, the pilot is a pretty fast suv.
razrvin 2 years ago
No it doesn't share the same engine as the Civic.
The Pilot should be slightly quicker than the CR-V..
sleeksilver 2 years ago 6
Yeah, I think the Civic engine might struggle under an SUV body weight. Is it an idividual engine?
ScorpioFuror 2 years ago
It isn't an individual engine.
G1 CR-V used the B20
G2 and G3 CR-V use the K24.
The K24 is used in the Accord, Element, Acura TSX and more than likely, the upcoming Crosstour.

Is this an EX-L because I thaught the EX-L was 0-60 in 6.5 cause my Mazda mpv is 0-60 in 6.7 and the pilot is faster than it?

My Dad's Pilot got 7.23 seconds. It's 2005, so it has the updated engine.
