i'm a student in burrville. got to go onto this facility only once for the car fire but it looks so hard core! i'd love to come back to try out that flashover simulator.
for the most part, stay a little ahead of the sled so the hammer is almost behind your heels when it hits. Also, let gravity take the hammer on the down swing...try not to "muscle it" too much.
Where do I freaking sign up.

I'm an explorer and we had to do this at St. Paul training day. I must say it was pretty interesting. Is there a special way to do it?

Did anyone show him how to properly hit the keiser? He wasted a lot of energy and time.
Adhesiveputty 2 years ago
nope, there was no instruction. A full two lengths in one minute is pretty solid. But of course, there's always someone who can hit it better.

@jacksonBVFC with instruction and practice most of the guys in my class could get down and back in under 30. We have the hand wounds to prove it

It must be even harder with the respiration equipment. I can only imagine how much his muscles must have been burning as he hit the stairs!
