Yep, this may very well be the new SEGA intro. For the SEGA CD trailer they just released, they used this intro. I was disappointed as to why they didn't use this for Sonic Generations though. It would work so well in my opinion.

They should definitely have this for EVERY release no matter if it's their IP (like Sonic or Yakuza) but for every game they publish as well. I didn't like that other one so much... it wasn't loud, it didn't have that SEGA attitude - in your face!

That voice jingle was actually used prior to the original Sonic games in Japanese TV adverts for other older games. To the West, it gave the company an instant voice upon the release of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. From there, the just-as-iconic Sega Scream.

Hm, this intro combining the old Sega sound from the earlier Sonic games plus the new updated intro would indeed be an excellent and nostalgic intro.

This would be an excellent idea, since that "Sega" from Sonic the Hedgehog for Genesis is a very iconic voice.

One of them is like "The new Sonic game sucks! Make the one that look like the original Sonic!"

And another says "Too many characters since 1997!"

And yet another one, "The new SEGA Intro sucks!"

Also they found out that critics like IGN and Gamespot rated their new games even lower ratings.

So the question is, "Does Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is the answer of all of these critics?"
