That WAS THE BEST I have seen yet. Using the TV's coils to power the washing machine, or the same transformer, regardless, that was fun, especially the rock taking three tries to vent the tube! :D

@mrmatt2525able The higher amp variacs are expensive. ( 8 Amps and more ).
I got mine out of old test equipment which was discarded at work, many years ago.
Have a look on the e-bay websites.
